HID Kit, Ebay Seller Recommendations?

HID Kit, Ebay Seller Recommendations?
Hey guys.
I understand a lot of people prefer to buy name brand kits from more expensive online retailers, but I've had 2 different HID kits that I bought from an ebay seller, both have been going strong for over 1-2 years and only cost me about 35$. That being said, I personally don't think its worth paying $90-$150 for the same thing that I can get for about 35$ on ebay.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the seller that I purchased from last time or I would just get them there. He offered great service and really fast 2-3 day shipping time. I really wish I could get them again but oh well.
Anyways. Does anyone have a recommendation for an eBay seller that you've had experience with? As in you bought the kit from them and installed it without problems for at least a few months...
I'm looking for a 6000k HID kit for accord fogs. I don't care about "slim" or regular sized ballasts, as there is plenty of room behind the bumper to install them. Also, Price should be competitive, as in $30-$40.
Thanks

I would look into ddm tuning if you haven't yet. I bought two pairs of hid kits from them about 3 years ago for my old truck. Now one of those sets is in my friend's truck and the other set is in my stock fog lights. Both still going strong! At the time they were $50 for the slim kit with a lifetime warranty. Now they're even cheaper. If I remember correctly, the slim kits now are $40 and the regular sized kits are $30. Check them out. I think I'll be picking up a set for my accord fogs pretty soon.

i got my kit from DDM,
but if you insist on ebay, I had a set of VVME on my old integra that lasted a few years and was working when I gave the car away.

I just got my fogs: ballasts and bulbs off ebay not sure of seller but could find out. The brand was xentec and so far I am pretty happy. I got a cheap ebay relay kit to go with it so 50.00 or less total and am very happy with results.
The brand xentec came recommended from a couple other members from this forum.
Just saying.

If you are going yellow vinyl I do NOT recommend anything over 3k bulbs. The light output will be greenish and horrible.
I have the yellow overlays first before I got my bulbs and had 8k's and was very unhappy with them. I actually quit using my fogs until the 3k's came in.
Now the output and cut-offs are brilliant. Yes a relay kit is needed to eliminate flickering and poor working. Mine warm up a little slow but once on they are spot on.

Xentec is a POS ballast, most people don't see it bad cause it will make your radio reception like crap only if you living in the rural area like me.
I use DDM tunning and having no problem after 5 years in my accord (no radio reception interfering). BTW if you choose to buy DDM make sure you get the $40 version one and DO NOT get the Raptor kits they are the most POS kit.

I have gone through SEVEN ballasts. Here's what I've learned.
XENTEC: Total Chinese dogshit. I have purchased three different Xentec ballasts, and wouldn’t you know, EVERYTIME THE CASE WAS DIFFERENT…so there is no REAL XENTEC, just rebranding of the same crap. You can get one for THREE BUCKS.
DDM: Once was the bomb, now sucks total balls. These will last about a year under normal use. Don’t bet ANYTHING on that warranty, you’ll pay just as much sending it back and replacing as buying a new one.
V.VME – The goddamn SHERMAN TANK of ballasts. If you’re going to do anything right, these are the ones to get!!!
BALLS TO THE WALL BEST KIT YOU CAN GET…Morimoto. http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=3955
HID kits are "not worth $150" until you've burned a shit ton of ballasts and have ripped the bumper off a few times to replace shit components. I am done buying cheap.

+1 Xentecs are pieces of crap. I have a kit from them and went with DDM because the Xentec "flicker". If you google around you'll find out what i'm talking about.
I do have a harness with proper grounds. The DDM kit did not do this.
I had a DDM ballast die (slim) and it took 2 weeks to get a replacement. They didnt overnight one to me.

Will have to keep an eye on mine then. But so far I have no problems with the xentec???
I did look at the morimoto's. Had the xentec not came recommended by a few guys here I would not have bought them.

I have the kit from The Retro Fit Source. I love it. However, it does kind of warm up slow as well. I've also noticed the one side it more yellow than the other. I have the 3k kit and yellow overlays and the passenger side is a nice bright yellow and the driver side is bright, but it's not as yellow, it's actually a little more greenish. I would post a pic but with the camera I have it would be too hard to tell the difference. Any ideas?

xentec is some of the worst stuff you can buy. I found that out 3 years ago the hard way. Went to DDM about a year ago for my motorcycle H7 bulbs and have been great so far. I'll probably buy something from the retro fit source though for next time around.

K here's the deal i wanna buy the D2S Morimoto Elite HID system but dont know what to choose. Long Cord Outputs or standard, then theres the choice between relays/canbus. Im just really lost lol. This is for my 07' TL Type S btw.
Here's the link:http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=242
Thanks in advance

The optional standalone can-bus harness replaces the relayed battery harness with two individual sub harnesses. Only recommended for vehicles that recognize when a bulb is out, these contain a series of capacitors and resistors to trick the car into thinking nothing has changed and help you avoid annoying “bulb out” warnings.
Since our cars only recognize when the DRL's are out, you don't need the can-bus harness because our cars don't tell us when the fog lights or headlights have gone out.
On a side note, the retrofit source has AWESOME customer service!! I was speaking with Andrew through email about one of the lights not having the same color output (pics posted above). He was more than willing to exchange the bulb out. Unfortunately I was involved in an accident recently and before I was able to check the lights out to see if they still worked, he was more than willing to replace the bulb and ballast if anything else was damaged in the accident.
SO to anyone that cares about a quality product and AWESOME customer service, spend the extra money for a good kit, you really are getting what you pay for!

You get the standard relay harness, not the can-bus style harness.

You won't need a harness for you DRLs though, unless you are installing an LED kit. And you won't need a harness for the D2S bulbs either if you're just upgrading your headlights.
