HID Issue

Hi All,

I have an issue with my passenger headlight that I need help with. A couple of weeks ago the headlight started to flicker and would eventually go out, this was happening for about a week and then it came back on but wasn't as bright or strong as the drivers side. So I purchased new Morimoto HD35's 4500K to replace Morimoto 5500k's from the retrofit source. When I changed the bulbs the passenger side was still weaker than the driver side. So I switched the bulbs from pass to drivers with the same results so then I switched the igniters also with the same results. I then purchased an after market ballast from amazon -

, and the passenger side is still weaker than the drivers side. I've searched HID issues here and can't find any with the same issue I'm having. If anyone has some advice on what else may be causing this issue I would greatly appreciate it, one good thing is I can now take the front bumper off in about 5 minutes.

My TL is 2006 with navigation and 178,000 miles.

Thank you in advance, this site has been a great resource to me over the years.

Is that with your high beams on Neither of those beam patterns look right. Did you ensure that you seated the bulb in properly?

No it's just the low beams and yes I'm as sure as I can be they were seated properly, i double checked before I put it back together. My driveway is on a incline so that may explain why they seem to be off.

go back in and make sure the bulb's notches are seated correctly. that bright hotspot on your garage door indicates light is bleeding through elsewhere and not through the projector.

I adjusted the drivers side and it’s much better but the passenger side is still weak.
