You can't install HID lamps in the TL fog lamp sockets. You'd have to make some serious mods to do this.

you can do it. all you need is a 9006 hid kit. i got 8000k hid kit in my fogs that i bought from excelerate. brand is xetronic and it works real good. you can get it from www.xtralights.com. my car is lowered on tein ss and lowered almost all the way so i had to raise the headlights. with low-beam hid and hid fog and raise headlight, it is bright as shit right now, brighter then hi-beam. i get flash by about half the cars on the road. would take pics, but kansas city is iced out right now. ill do it when i go home from college during winter break

I think I would be a little afraid of someone coming at me not being able to see so well. If it's bothering about half the oncoming traffic sounds like you tremendously increased the number of people having a problem seeing what's in front of them. Maybe your lights should be adjusted correctly so you can see good/well and the other guy can see at all!

This is what I meant. With the stock, OEM, sockets/housing/etc., you can't install HID fogs. HIDs require a different socket plus they use ballasts. So To just remove your stock lamps and install HIDs is not an option. You would need to do some work to get HIDs.

Real smart.

I have 8000K fog lights on my '03 Type-S, but they are aimed low and very soft. I left the shield in so the lights don't shoot everywhere. Have some courtesy for other motorists. There's a fine line between looking good, and downright bothering others.

I will take pics tonight i forgot last night sorry.

Southern Boy what are you talking about. Before you say something you should know what your talking about. It is a simple mod take about 20 minutes. The HID is a retrofit kit, the bulb is a hid based for a 9006 stock fitting. The ballast is simple to install it is all plug and play.

Oh and a good place to get the hids are www.xenondepot.com.

Ebay has tons of them. It's nothing new and they're mostly made in Taiwan, but I'm not sure if I really recommend having them since you'll most likely blind the guy that's coming towards you.

If that is the case, if they are genuine High Intensity Discharge Lamps and will fit into the stock OEM fogs, then I shall stand corrected and have learned something new. My apologies gentlemen.

Now for my further edification. Where would one mount the ballasts? Is there a suggested location for this?

They usually come with double side tapes and you can mount them anywhere that's flat.

Cool

I put HIDs on my fogs and they were very easy to install. It really is justa a plug and play mod. I have the BMW's 46k one so they match evenly with my stock ones.will post pics tonight. Nothin like matching HIDs, looks all stock.
