Just installed type s headlights on my 06. Also installed my kaixen 6500k bulbs in them. But a little problem that came up is that when i park my car in front of this wall at work. At night when i leave work and turn on my headlamps there seems to be a pink flicker on the passenger side for a second or two and it return to normal. Is there something wrong with the bulb or the ballast might be short. any help will be appreciated. thanks

Did you or anyone touch the bulb with your bare hand? If so could of burnt a spot into the bulb causing it to do that. Oils from your skin possibly could of touched the bulb somewhere causing a burn spot on the bulb which can significantly shorten the life of the bulb. Or is the bulb plugged in all the way correctly?

 

I agree with the above, just take it out and wipe it down carefully with a dry paper towel and plug back in. I had this problem once before and that seemed to solve it.

Oh and another thing, switch the bulbs around if that doesnt work and see if the flickering still happens on the same side or if it travels with the bulb. Quick way to find out if the problem is with the bulb or the equipment in the car.

 

thanks guys. Sucks that i have to remove the bumper again. But oh well if it solves the problem then i will have to do it!
