Question HID Bulb replacement?

I got a 2004 TL
and I put in those bright white LED Strips in my lower grill and I want to match my headlights to that. I want thinkin on going with 8000K bulbs. But now the questions is what size/type of bulb do I have to buy?

erm, D2S or D2C...

Usually people do the opposite, matching lights to HID, as HIDs is your primary light output....

In my opinion, 8000K for HID is horrid.

I think its a D2R. I'm sure someone can confirm.

Also, I don't recommend going higher than 6000k unless you don't mind losing visibility at night.

D2R bulbs are for 2G TLs...

Projection bi-xenon headlights require D2S, which is stock, or D2C which is compatible with everything... D2R will also work, but the shielding on the bulb will diminish output/sharpness.

Incorrect stock is 4300K. Yes you can use either D2S or D2C.

If you're driving an 04 TL, the bulbs are pretty old if you drive with lights on a lot. I would imagine your color is 5000k-5500k(bluish white) by now as bulbs get bluer(and dimmer) over their life cycle. My roommate has 8000k on his IS250 and the color is horrid at night, especially in the rain. It's straight blue and the road is blue too.

go 6K, i got 8K's and the blue hue is very noticeable ( to me) compared to the white led switchbacks. i plan on switching my whole front to 6K to match the switchbacks and other plans. ask elkechon, he had this conversation the other day while we was looking at our lights.

If you want matching switchbacks, sidemarkers, etc... stick with 6k D2S or D2C HID bulbs. 8000k+ will look too blue compared to your LED bulbs, IMO. See my photo album for matching 6k hids/fog/switchbacks/sidemarkers.
