HID Bulb Cover
HID Bulb Cover
The dealer tried to aim my passenger's side headlight, but they said they had to pull the headlight out (which obviously requires removal of the bumper -they said) so they can screw down the plastic cover that goes behind the bulb. They said it holds the bulb in there for the most part. They wanted to charge an hour and a half labor to fix it.
Is there any way I can reattach that w/o removing the bumper? I'm at work and haven't had a chance to check it out myself yet.

I'm assuming they're talking about the cover/screw holding it down, as seen in picture #3 in this thread:

Wait . . . what? The dealer had to remove the bumper in order to aim the headlight? Someone fed you a load of bull. You can aim the headlights from the side of the fender where you see two arrows going back and forth with one reading up and the other as down.
You don't have to use a Torx 20 screwdriver for it. If you have a small flat head screwdriver, you can squeeze your hand in there to screw it back on if it's loose.

Yeah I basically gave them the finger over the phone lol.
They said they couldn't aim the passenger side headlight because that plastic cover wasn't "secured". In order for them to aim the headlight they, said they have to remove the bumper, remove the headlight, attach that plastic cover, and then aim the headlights once everything is back together.
I pretty much laughed in their face and told them their full of shit. I'm not paying 1.5 hr. labor for that BS. I'm going to try to fix that cover myself then I'll just aim them myself.
I'm going to try to get at it via the fender well.
