HFL Volume

HFL Volume
The HFL volume in my TL is really loud. It doesn't seem to be adjustable via the Nav system nor affected by the radio volume level. Is it possible to turn in down? Thanks for any help.
One other question: since the TL is a front wheel drive, why is there a hump on the rear floor? (It seems a shame not to have more leg room for someone sitting in the center.)

Question...
Okay, I just noticed you could possibly be talking about something different than what I was referring to.
Question:
1) Are you talking about the volume of the HFL system's prompt? (i.e. "System options are...?", "What name or number would you like to call?", "Would you like to call...?", etc.)
-OR-
2) Are you talking about the volume of the individual you are speaking to through the cellphone/HFL system?
If you're talking about #1, I don't know how to help you out there.
If you're talking about #2, and my previous advice doesn't work...take it to your dealer, there's something wrong with your HFL system.

Yes, I'm talking about your item 1: the HFL prompts; they're way too loud. It seems weird that everything else in the TL is adjustable.
Any help appreicated.

I still think we can use volume control over Steering Wheel to adjust it.
While HFL starts, you can immediately use this to lower/increase volume. Right?

Thanks for the suggestion. I did not try adjusting volume while the voice was on, just before or after. I turned the radio volume so that it was a 01 or 02, just audible and still the voice boomed out. I think I was too shock and awed by her voice to move
I'm at work now, so when I go home tonight I'll see if the volume can be adjusted while she is speaking.

OK, this is cool. The volume for the HFL is stored separately from that of the radio. The default HFL must have been around 10 (or maybe the dealer re-adjusted it).
I check it several times and it works well. For example, if you're listening to the radio at volume 07 and you then activate the HFL, you can adjust the volume on the steering wheel to set the HFL voice level. I like around 04. Now when you cancel/back out of HFL, you'll find that the volume of the radio is still at 07.

The hump in the floor is there for bending strengh. A flat sheet of metal is pretty weak. The bends are why a unibody has strength. I haven't looked, but Acura may also be running the exhaust pipe through that area.
