I can't find it now, but someone had a question on have a ring come through the speakers of the car when receiving a call using the HFL. I don't remember seeing an answer. Playing with the system the other day, I found out that if you hit the talk button on the steering wheel and say "System Setup", you will be given a couple of options. The first is to choose a mail or female prompter. Second is to choose if the system will ring through. Say "yes" and then it asks if you want a ring tone or prompt. Sayd "ring tone". This should not be phone dependant.

If this was already answered, then mea culpa.

 

I certainly did not know this - I will have to go and play.
I guess that it could be a default - my phone always rings though the speakers.

Yes! It is a default.

 

I have mine just say INCOMING CALL.

There are enough un-needed tones in the world today!

 

I only know of two options for HFL notification: a single ringtone that sounds like a typical cordless phone ringing, or a voice prompt that says "You have an incoming call."
