...er... just waiting on the passenger side...but wanted to install this one to test out it's 'endurance' to see if condensation forms since I opened it up and resealed it. i added a few extra silica packs. i tried this mod last winter but i didnt have a way to secure the corner bulb and didnt want to start cutting wires. then i came across Silva95teg's bulb mod and got back on track.
Super THanks to silva95teg for the 'custom' corner lights adaptor. He basically combined the TypeS socket with the base socket insuring a tight seal that 'rotates' into place.

*in all my haste, i did forget to install this side plastic bracket that slips onto the headlight..but i guess it cant do any harm...just will have to put it in next time i take apart the bumper again.

anyways.. will post the full pix when the other headlight module is installed...but for now, dont make fun since I have 1 side a typeS and 1 side a base headlight lol.

looks good....
i hope your bumper will hold up with that piece missing....i would suggest just taking half the bumper off and putting it back on....better safe than sorry

About that plastic piece, it just clips onto the fender over the headlight bracket. It's attached with 2 screws, too.
As mentioned by swoosh, just partially remove the bumper on the side so you have enough room screw the bad boys in.
Type-S headlights are so much sexier than base headlights =)

condensation stems from humidity trapped inside, you can get it out without replacing.
look great...i paid a pretty penny just for the diffusers!
but I opted to do the carbon fiber over the amber diffuser...I was used to it looking modified so I didn't want it to look like a Type S wanna be.

i had the same issue and yes, the ACURA service dept asked me to take photos ..which i did..i then emailed them the pix. they replaced both of them yet i still had 'fogginess' during the odd car wash. Yesterday when i pulled out one of the newly replaced headlight modules, i noticed that they did NOT put in a replacement SILICA pad that is mounted behind the projector lens internally. In fact, i also complained about my rear taillights developing fog and they replaced both but still getting fog in one of them...but i'm gonna let that one go.

condensation comes from humid air you trap inside the headlight...
came to this conclusion when I took my oem lights off and put in attic and then put them back on 2 months later. Condensation...
The silica packs help, but they are not going to solve the problem...put teflon tape on the bulb bases to ensure a tight seal, and leave a bulb out and leave the car facing the sun on a hot day. Or take a piece of garden hose, a shopvac reducer, some electrical tape and a blowdryer and displace the humid air from the assembly and quickly pop bulbs back in. The lights are actually intended to go thru environmental cycles too...went on vacation and left car in my damp garage for 2 weeks without sunlight and had condensation until I started driving it and exposing to sun again.

so is condensation and fogging the same thing?
i always figured that condensation was in the form of tiny but visible water droplets whereas fogging was just a temporary haze that goes away.
my stock headlights (never opened) used to fog up when applying cold water via hose when washing. the fog 'dissipates' in a few mins and thats it.
is there a difference re: fogging vs condensation?

check this thread out to get more info on how to mod your base turn signals to fit the TypeS modules.

just source out a set of typeS headlights and consider doing the mod (in link above) to make sure you have a tight seal on the turn signals. For me, this mod cost $700 to get the headlights AND arrange to get the signals modded to fit. Thing is, ive got a set of 07-08 base headlights as spares that i will either send to JnC in exchange for something neat or just sell them off to offset the cost of this project.
Other than that, if you got the funds...do this mod cuz it looks fantastic on this color.
EDIT: totally forgot.. you can always modify your existing headlights as well to keep costs down but that totally increases the labour associated with this project. THis will also allow you to avoid the whole turn signal mod. Check out guitarplayer16's thread on DIY blacking out headlights.

i'll probably hold off on the lip kit for now...next few mods:
1. re-wire the DRLs from the headlight modules to the foglamps.
2. if above doesn't pan out, convert to HID fogs.
3. eibach prokit ...usually a minimal 1" drop.
4. de-badging rear
5. research LED signal bulbs for front/rear
6. front strut bar / rear sway bar
