Help! What part is the felt liner under the hood?

Last week I took my 08 NBP TL-S in for regular B1 Maintenance. The dealership was running a full detail special and I took them up on the offer. They did an OK job, but when I popped the hood to look at their engine detail work I was disappointed to find that the hard felt protector on the inside of the hood had been pressure washed without being removed and dripped dust and grime all over the engine compartment.

It looks like I may be able to remove it easily and pressure wash it myself, but if I had to order a new one I'm not sure what part it is. When looking at the Acura Store online it looks like it may be the "insulator" but it runs about $120 which seems steep for what it is. Does anyone know if this is the right part?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks, that's what I thought too based on the diagram. It just seems expensive for what appears to be felt on a heavy but somewhat flexible piece of plastic/board.

The 3rd brake light COVER is over $70 from the dealer. A BIGGER piece of plastic with MORE fabric on it, like the hood insulator, sounds like a bargain at $80.

Besides OE parts being generally over-priced, the hood liner is designed to smother an under-hood fire. Sounds worth a few extra bucks to me.

Several members on the forums have taken theirs off.
Maybe you can find one for sale used.

Is there an aftermarket replacement for this part available?
