I am about to replace the HID bulbs in my 07 Type S.... I just wanted a few questions answered before I begin. I bought a pair of D2S 8k bulbs, but I am wondering if this is the right bulb??? Also I believe the Type S have both High and Low beam on the same bulb, and I am unsure if all D2S bulbs are high low?? can anyone tell me if all D2S bulbs are equipped to do high-low??? Also is there any IMPORTANT info I need to know before messing with this project... (and yes I know not to touch the HID bulb) PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!!!!!! Thanks guys!!

 

I believe its the right bulb, check out the 3G garage to see how to replace the bulb according to the factory manual

 

Hi/low feature is due to the projector and it has nothing to do with the bulb itself. If you have a bulb that says it is D2S or D2C then you are good as they are direct replacement for the OEM ones, make sure that they are rated to be 35 Watts as some aftermarket bulbs are also available in 55 Watt iteration.

 

Did you choose the 8000k color on purpose? I'm curious to know what you think of them after the swap. My understanding is that they will be much dimmer and won't be white.
