help with TL-S sidemarker on 08 TL
There is a DIY somewhere, but you may need to go into the wheel well. unscrew them from the rear, then take them out. There is a spot where it catches.. on the rear of the wheel well. Then youcan pop them out. They are hooked in, so you jus tpress the two ends of the side marker and it pops right out. Oh, by the way, I remember removing mine just pulling from the outside. It came right out, I just use my fingers and forced them out from where the groove is. It doesn't work anymore... It might have been rain that soaked it or something.
Good luck

When i installed mine, the passanger side i can just simply pull out from the outside with a little force and it came out, you can try the other with force but it was a pita and i had to go in from the trunk to pop those out.
Frankie - If you are wanting to change out the rears. You have to pull the carpeting on the trunk sides, by removing the panel that fits over the trunk latch, 5 of the screw in hooks for the net, one clip (there are 5 hooks and 1 clip on each side driver and passenger). Once you pull the carpet back, reach in and you will either see it or feel it, there are two tabs one on either side, just push those tabs in and push the side marker out. Once you pull it out, just unhook and plug in the new one, then push it back into the opening. Very simple..
One thing I realized, when placing the Type-S rear sidemarkers into a UA6 the connectors are different, as in the female end which is on the sidemarker is actually bigger than the Male end that is attached to the wiring. So be sure to test them before you push it in.
