Help with replacing front passenger side window

Hey guys so some jack ass broke into my parents 08 Mercedes bens GL 450 and shattered the glass. I was wondering if anyone know any DIY to replacing the glass and would it be same as changing it on a TL? Searched all over the web and no luck for DIY for GL. So I'm asking if anyone can help a fellow out, thanks in advance.

Would rather do it myself then pay dealership $1000+(thats what they quote me) in parts and labor when the side window is $200 and pillars probably $150.

1. try indy mercedes specialist shops.

2. as far as i know there's no "special" way of moving the window up and down.
and this is how i would do it if i were you.
a. study the interior clips of the same generation's other mercedes models (C, E, those popular ones gotta have some sort of interior-teardown DIY)
b. study how the bottom half of the window looks like (probably not much different from ford focus)
c. figure out as-you-go and if you could post in-progress pictures i'm sure benzworld people can help you out.

It's very easy on the TL and other Hondas, I've done it before. Mercedes might be trickier though those cars are always tricky about anything, but who knows. You should probably post this on the Mercedes forums.

yeah I will try taking a look at this and figure it out, I heard there was a metal plate after you take the panel off. so well see how that goes. as for benzworld I tried to sign up but wont let me post or anything and was never confirmed about that site. Tried searching it up on that site also but no luck at all.

pic please?

i think, i'm guessing but
1. secure the window
2. feel behind the metal plate where the screws are that holds window regulator
3. maybe these might help?

I wish i have a window to secure its shattered
Thanks for the reply, will post pictures up tomorrow. when i removed the door panel there is this big sheet of metal with 13 bolts and the regulator is attached to the metal sheet. so im guessing if i need to remove the sheet with the regulator i need to remove the 13 bolt and the door lock and unlock module, but where to start?
