Help Need Advice

I just saw that my treads are nearly gone. I originally planned on getting some good summer rubber but I recently moved back to NY from socal and probably need some high performance all seasons. I want something that's better than what we get stock but also good in snow.
I was thinking about 225-50-17.
does anyone know any good brands? or are high performance all seasons really just summer tires?

I like the Falken 512, but not sure if they will work for snow (they are all seasons)...the size you are looking at seems ok, but i would stick with the stock dimensions when possible.

There's a sub-forum relative to tires for the 2004 TL. Try reading some of these posts for some thoughts relative to EL42 replacements.

How many miles do you have on the car? Just wondering has anyone replaced their tires yet because of no tread? How long did they last? 20,000 miles?
