Help Installing Type-S Tail Lights on 04 TL in Colorado!!!
I just recently bought some type-s tails to put on my 04 TL and upon reading I have found that the rear bumper must be removed... I have searched around and I can find the diagrams but I don't think I trust myself to pull off my rear bumper. Is there anyone in the Denver area or South of there who has done this mod and would be willing to put my lights in for some extra money? My acura dealer has said they will install them for $140 but seing as how the lights were only $200 that makes this a bit too costly. If there was a really good guide with a step by step guide and pictures I might try it but I would rather trust someone who has done it before. Just PM me or respond to the thread if you can help or know someone who can, thanks!!!

MW,
I was worried about doing this mod myself too, but found out that it is not that difficult if you take your time and have the work space to do it. It took me about an hour and 15 minutes total, and that was including including the Aspec wheels and ground effect attached to the rear bumper. If you do not have the Aspec kit, you do not even need to remove the wheels and it should take you max 30-45 minutes. As the other posters have said in the past, do one side at a time. You will not be dissappointed.
Also, when I was having some service work done at the dealer, they say the new tails and asked me who installed them. I told them I did and they told me that I did just as good a job as they would have if not better.
Don't know if any of this helps, but thought I would post it for what its worth.
Good luck!
