Help Install MOMO shift knob

How do I install a momo shift knob on a Manual TL?

1. Take off the OEM knob. It screws off.

2. Put on MOMO. MOMOs bolt on.

The hardest part is the boot. The original shifter comes with a plastic piece that the leather is held to with a cable tie. That piece has to be removed for the new shifter to fit. I used a cable tie but you have to fold the leather inside of a loop and slowly tighten to keep it even. Its a battle, but with alot of paintience it can be done.

are there after market knobs available for AUTO? I saw a thread but i dont know where to get them.

well i think momo makes a few specially made auto knobs, but i got a momo cobra knob (made for manual) for my auto tl and it fits fine and looks sweet. go to sounddomain.com and check them out, they have a really good selection and are reliable.

You can use basically any MT knob that will fit on an AT because we don't have a push-button shifter.

That shifter looks awesome!!!!!!! Goes really well with the wood trim interior...Nice choice!
