Something is wrong with this story.

My guess is your friend's "buddy" is a jerkoff who was doing something he shouldn't have been doing, thus cant go through insurance. Like, driving with no insurance, no license or suspended license, hit something while he was drunk off his ass, or something else illegal.

And $15K worth of damage from hitting a curb? I don't think so. That would have to be a pretty big ass curb, and probably going 50+ MPH to cause that much damage and cause issues with the interior as well.

This whole story doesn't add up.

 

OP- if buddy wants to sell/part out his car, buddy is going to have to register here on Acurazine.
