Hello all, need some help from you guys!
Hi,
I am in the market for my next car and TL is on my list.
I love how TL looks on the street and I've been honda/acura owner all along.
here's some questions I want to ask to you guys.
I was wondering where I can locate the stickers that has vin on
which proves it's an original part.
how many and where can I locate them if I pop up the hood?
how many can you usually find without stripping the car?
I recently got s2000 and this sticker was everywhere, door, trunk, fender area etc...
so please give me some help where you usually find these stickers.
thanks!
Jay

Those vin numbers on everything is usually a dealer installed, try to get another $300 out of you thing. I told my dealer (who was great) I didn't want it, I got it anyway, they threw it in, car already had it.

I think they come with the stickers from the factory. Also im my TL and MDX, the VIN is inscribed into the part right near the hood hinges, into the body. And if you are looking for info such as how you can tell body work was done, each part has a factory crayon mark that can't be replicate. Also the bolts that hold the parts will have scratches and the paint will chip off.
csmeance - can you elaborate a little bit about those crayon marks?? Kinda interested in what you are talking about... like where are the marks and is it just for body work or for other parts as well? Thanks man...
