Hello

Carlos here, just joined. Ive been trolling around for weeks though.

Finally decided to join since i finally decided to get an 08 acura tl with navi.

ill be posting pics of the car and mods i want to do as soon as i get the car. jUst wanted some advise first.

08 acura tl with navi 37,300 miles for 19995.00 (i think i can get them down to 19k maybe 18500) Good deal?

also, since its an 08 and warranty runs for 50k miles or 4 year, will my warranty be good till the end of 2011?

there is one other 08 tl with no navi with 22k miles for 21,000.00 but i think ill pay less for more miles and navi anyday.

Warranty is, I think, 4-years from first purchase date. '08's were released ~Sept/Oct of 2007, so you should be good through Spet 2011 for sure and maybe a good bit longer depending when the car was first sold.

Carlos, welcome to the forums. I'm with you- between the two I would go for the one w/ Navi. Not interested in a Type-S?

Don't automatically rule out "auction" cars. In many cases with newer cars it's merely a sign that the car is either off lease or a corporate trade in that the originally selling dealer didn't want on the lot. Dealers often use auctions to get rid of extra vehicles that they don't have room for on their lot. In the case of my 07 TL-S it was an auction car picked up by a GM dealership in Massachusetts. Plus, on a three year old car, how much can really be wrong with it? These are almost always adult driven cars owned by people who take them to the dealer for all scheduled maintenance. I'd still run a carfax and ask all the questions I could just to be safe though.

JP you are right. I was just bummed, I am actually gong to that dealer friday morning, hopefully i drive away in my new car. If not i found a couple other placer with decent prices.

I found one TL i really like (milage, price and color ratios).
Only problem is the rims are Chrome. I love the way the ALLOYS look, anyone here interested in trading?

Welcome! I won't let the chrome rims be a reason to hold you back, as that can easily be changed. The color of the interior and exterior and other stuff like navi should have priority.

HA! awsome posts, i will post pics tonight. got car friday 25th drove it to vegas on saturday the 26th!!! drove like a champ in the snow!

GOT MY CAR!!!! 08 tl 38k miles black on black with navi, super clean condition. (all original manuals, 2 keys, all service records at acura dealership) and its sitting on c.h.r.o.m.e.!!!!

lol, its growing on me. 2 problems,
1, my rear view mirror is loose. i read up in the forums and i guess i have to call the dealership (its a TSB from '05). car is still under factory warranty so should be free.

2, ACURA LINK does not work, i set up my nexus one (tmobile data) and during the daa set up it told me nope. anything im missing or any tips?

thanks again guys.
Other than that, awesome, car.
