headlights are in the oven :)

i cant tell you guys how much i love the D.I.Y.'s and the help ive recieved on this forum.. lol....

i was a little iffy, on taking off bumper and headlights and baking.. but with the help i recieved... it qent very quick.. bumper off and headlights baking in the oven as i type this within an hour and a half... which for me.. is quick because i had to keep coming and looking at the computer at the diy video.. will post pics of them as soon as im finished today..

p.s. im not painting them black.. just clearing them.. i prsonally like the look better.. but thanks guys...

i'm going to hopefully be doing this as well. saw a cleared out set on a NBP at a grocery store yesterday and got a chub. i want to black them out though.

There are DIYs for both. Check the 3rd gen garage for it.

They're fairly easy. I think 200 degrees for 20 minutes. This should melt the glue/silicon enough for you to detach the headlight assembly.

The DIY video is for bumper removal made by Sandiegodrive. The lights are simple to remove, just a few bolts to remove.

DO NOT leave the lights in for 20 minutes, You have to keep checking as ovens vary by type, altitude, ambient temperature....
