Headlights? How to remove orange?

Hey everyone...I see everyone has removed the orange part on the TL headlights..I am wondering if people just take the head light tint and just tint that 1 orange part or if this is replacement headlights? let me know...

Go to the 3G Garage and search it... FYI, its not tint, the orange reflector is removed by baking the headlight in the oven.

You gotta use a cleaner and the orange buffs out.

Buffing did nothing for me.

Am I missing something?

I'm still reticent to taking the headlight apart! I think it looks ok with the reflector. A free mod that makes the car look much more aggressive though...it's hard to pass up. Maybe if I grow a set I'll do it.

I've done it twice. It's not hard at all. The worst part is removing the bumper, which I've got down to a science now.

I love the look that it gives the car, and I'm looking forward to doing the same to my TL... I'm not happy with the amount of work, but I'm ready for the new look..

Now that I've done it, it's really not that bad. Read up and decide what you want to do and do it right and carefully and you'll be fine.
