headlights

okay guys... i just recently changed out my fogs to HID's McCulluch 5000K.
i want to match my stock 4300K to 5000K also.
so my question is... i thought our high and lows use the same bulb??
which one do i need to change out?

Low beam headlamp
HID-D2S
or
High beam headlamp
9005

i got this from http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm

Low & high beams use the same bulb, the system works with a refector to change low beam and high beam light.

do you mean, you want to change the stock 4300k to 5000k to match the fogs? If so, from my understanding I think you just need to get 5000k D2S bulbs and change the stock 4300k bulbs.

The HID-D2S is not the same as the 9005. One is a HID bulb and the other is a standard halogen bulb. If you want to have all of your bulbs the same then you need to replace the stock D2S bulb with a 5000K D2S bulb and the stock 9005 with another kit like the one you used for the fogs. Way overkill in my opinion especially for the poor oncoming drivers.

okay i just want to change out the bulb, so with the HID-D2S i just need to change out the bulb while the 9005 bulb i would need a whole new kit like the 9006??

aren't there only 2 lights in the headlights? One for the fogs and the other one being a projector that houses the low/high beams. For your stock hid's to match, i think you would only need to change the bulbs that are in the projector. No more retro fitting kits needed.

the light output intensifies but does not get thrown from the stock illumination field. i love my results and dont get any more flashes than i used to. they still light drivers up going up hills though.
