Headlamp - clear or black out?

I'm getting my headlamp done this weekend at Rego Sport. Need a suggestion.
Should I black out the headlamp or just clear it as is? Color of my TL is Royal Blue. What would you prefer? Or any other suggestion?

Thanks!

you have rims on your car? what color rims? is your car tinted? what color interior?

if you go with dark rims, have a dark interior, tint, or have/plan to go with black tail lights, etc go with black IMO, however both look good

good luck

I have rims, (silver finished), window is tinted medium dark and the interior is quartz.

yes I'm kinda debating. Black out look very clean and matches the exterior of the car but if it was just clear out, then the headlamp would stand out more. Hmm....still debating.....................

yea it completely depends on the trimmings on your car. if everything is clean and light, go clear, if you have tints, and shades...go black...in the end...it's totally up to you...we support you either way

i'll be clearing my lights this fall...too damn hot out right now...i've been debating between blacking out or leaving clear as well...i have an SSM with quartz interior, 35% tint all around and plan on getting silver rims...i'm leaning towards leaving it clear as i think it would go better w/ my colors...i vote to leave yours clear as well...

I think black, but keep the sides clear for the corner lights. I think ding069 did that. See this thread: New style blacked out and cleared headlamps

Please update us with pictures when you have them done! Good luck!

thanks for the reference, but I say paint em blue (if your car is blue).
I'm all for blackouts, but I saw more beauty in the chrome. they reflect a lot of black too

Im afraid if I were to paint the housing blue then the out put of the light wont be that bright.....That is the other reason why if i should black them out too. I'm more concern of the output.

I havent noticed much, if any, of a difference from when I had the lights cleared and when I blacked them out.

no diff at all. the chrome you end up painting is not used in any kind of light reflection whatsoever. if you paint your corner reflector, your corner light output will decrease though.
