This is a great idea, but you should check with a Mod before advertising here. There are hoops to jump through to be a vendor. Everyone needs to play by the rules!

With that said, I joined Facebook specifically for your deal. I will send an email to the above-mentioned address for the coupon code. Not quite ready to buy yet. Soon.

I would also like to volunteer my services for organizing the GB, if it gets official AZ approval.

Thanks.

I thought it was ricey in concept...but seeing the picture of the white emblem on the back of that TL above, I don't see how you could call it that. It looks cool IMO.

MB is putting frigging LEDs in place of fog lights on a 60k car.

I give this a thumbs up...if it were cheaper to do, I'd probably be all over it.

Good luck man! And yes, you'll have much more success by becoming a vendor on here.

Rockstar....You rock!

Thanks for the words. BTW, I am down in So. FL. Look for a few Amp'd Emblems on the back of some TLs.

Thanks!

Well mine comes off easily as I've painted and removed and painted and removed more times than I'd like to admit. I'd volunteer to let you use the back for some pics for your site and business.

Thank you btw...
Are you coming to the WPB meet on 2/27? Probably a good place to start!

and ps...I hope I don't come across like a jerk...and obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I really get the impression a lot of times that people just agree or disagree with the majority to fit in. Or use trendy words to put down mods or something...like they forget where they came from and the ghetto rigs we used to do growing up.

I had friggin GLOW in the dark emblems on my accord...and I was NOT "RICEY" etc...If done right, any mod for the most part, can look classy.

At the risk of contradicting myself in the same post...I think I would have to agree that 22 inch chrome rims are not the style that look good on a TL and I really can't force myself to be into those stick on fake M3 "grills" that come in 3's on the fender.

J.

Just a rant cause I feel like everyone is at a different level of modding. A year ago, I was clueless about a lot of things I would laugh at now if someone were to ask. But doesn't make me better. Someone puts their hard earned money into dropping a car...and 20 people all chime in "lower"..."drop that ish"...etc....give me a break. The more I write the more annoyed at how many people came onto this thread and just automatically put RICE...ricer...ricey....be more objective and be your own person. People put in puddle lights...people put in LED's and yellow fog bulbs...people put on tow hooks and window visors that take away from the sporty and sleek look of the car. Then they say they're "JDM"...but then come on here and see something that looks good...may not be for everyone but looks good and call it rice-a-roni.

Whatever..

-end rant...and if you ever read my other threads/posts I normally don't rant. I just get annoyed by this subculture of people that try and make themselves cool on the internet. We're all just people who happen to like the same kind of car. Big deal.

You know what...I cracked my rear A when removing it originally and I've settled for having it glued back together, but at over 40 bucks (IIRC) at the dealer for a replacement, I'd prefer to spend the extra 35 and get this. I have LED's everywhere else on the car so a nice, classy white backlit emblem would compliment my nbp well. Not sure if I'll wire it to license, or the brakes...or maybe even wire in a switch to be able to turn it on/off as I please. Very cool mod.

If I do decide to pull the trigger I'll let you know amp'd and I'll take some install/after pics for all you AZ'ers that are on the fence about doing it. The $20 off coupon code helps (thanks!).

Definitely an interesting concept, but I think it needs more than just three LEDs in order to be seen from a further distance, it seems like three dots, when you look at the video from with pics from afar.... Would be interested if any other possible setups

Hey Fulani,

Video was shot and edited and put together by two 14yr olds with a digital camera. Very crude. It was to get a You Tube presence and has not been updated. There are more than 3 LEDs. The pics (all night shots) are hard to get the true representation of light. It is more the design of the A emblem that appears 3 points of light. One of the design concepts is that when viewed, and unlit, the emblem is indistinguishable from a regular factory emblem. Unlike one design that slaps an emblem on top of a thick (but fully lit) plastic piece that lights up. Think Hamburger on the back of your car.

Thanks for the input though. I fully realize that not everyone will like or want one.

Ampd I haven't checked this thread in awhile. I'll email you. Guys I am sure pics and videos do no justice, it has to be seen in person. I guess I will have to be a guinea pig for the NY area and experiment.

Count me in for guinea pig for the South. Placed my order today. Please PM me when you think it will ship.

Thanks man!
Hopefully Rockyfeller and I will be happy and can put up more representative pics. The fact that it's not distinguishable during the day and then can be lit up with so many different possibilities is a huge selling point to me. Wish me luck all, remember...imagine if Colombus would have listened to all those people telling him the world was flat and ricey!

Go NAVY!

Hey Steven,

It's very simple. Read the FAQs on the website. www.ampdemblems.com. Its basically finding the license plate light wires, and tap connecting your Amp'd Emblem to it. I supply it all.

Need to run to a Superbowl party. If you have any more questions, email me back some specifics and I will gladly help you. If interested in a purchase, I will send you a coupon code for $20.00 off since you are a facebook fan.

Thanks for the interest!

I spoke to Steve about that---there are too many variables with front emblems for him to make them. The rear emblems are pretty standard in that they all have pins to hold them in and run the wires through the trunk. Plus, the connections to the license plate lights are usually right there.

Lol, thanks man. I have to say that I didn't mean anything by it. I think deep down I'm jealous that I'm not 20 anymore and the time keeps FLYING! lol.

Anyway, I agree with Rocky 100%. Got the box yesterday, OMG...talk about fast shipping, and a great product. Packaged professionally. The emblem is TOTALLY stock looking...the LED's are totally hidden under the A and use the gap that the double sided tape all the way around provide to disperse the light. I can't wait to get it installed.

I'll throw together a little quick DIY for this for everyone. Looks very easy, staightforward and Includes EVERYTHING you need to do this install.

Thanks again amp'd!

Yeah of course you can. Great service, it's the least I can do. I hope to see your business do well. I own a business too and few people understand how to go out of their way and treat their clients well. I'd love to see my car on your site.
