Has it been Done??
VIS do a full caron fibre hood for $900.
You'd be better off with Extreme Dimensions' hood if you're going to chop it up.

I would start by thinking of a new idea. But in all seriousness, yes, you would have to buy your own carbon fiber hood, and custom the glass in. Unfortunately there are no companies that make carbon fiber hoods, showcasing the cai by having a plexiglass window.

Hopefully you can outrun the cops then for shooting at someone stealing your intake...lol
I personally am not a fan of the plexiglass in the hood. An intake is such a mundane modification, I'd be surprised if anyone really wants to look at it...

So you want a quiet ride, but you want a CAI?

If you can do all that on your own, then maybe, but unless you're a professional, it's going to look like this:
, and it probably won't work too well?
Plexiglass would normally start to lose its conditioning once it comes in contact with temperature of 150 something degrees, if I recall.
And also, if I recall, the engine bay can reach over 100 degree F easily considering the weather and the usage of your vehicle...
Overall, don't even bother...
