Has Anyone Installed Their Lighted Sill Plates?
I hope to get my lighted
sill plates installed this week. Has anyone done theirs? Any unknown problems? Complications? How does it look?

I like to see more pics. I can't wait to have mine installed. I was going to do mine on my own but that's out of the questions after seeing the instructions.!

looks nice, although the instructions are lacking somewhat. Some are saying that the back sills aren't an exact fit. I'm going to try to put on the sills this weekend. If you need more info, go to the blackmarket section for the group buy and you'll find tons of info there.

I installed mine a week ago.. Looks good. The back ones were a bit of trouble as far as the curve.
The instructions were crappy so I had to wire them on my own. I put my pics and my instructions on the thread.

IMO, they really look like stock. They dont look plasticy at all. You have to see the product upfront. They really did do a good job on the project. I will be installing mine tomorrow and we'll see the finished product from there.

They look great. But I think they could look even better. I would prefer the sill be all uniform in that brushed aluminum/stainles steel look. I would also like to see those perferations illuminated.

Full Critique of the Lighted Sill Plates
As noted on the "BlackMarket" page:
1. Back door plates need some human manipulation to conform but can be done.
2. Double sided tape from German manufacturer is either inferior or "stale". Honda tech removed original and applied brand new, fresh 3M and worked perfectly.
3. c731 yellow wire with green stripe was not the correct + power location. Meter and know how of the circuits is important. There is a + continuous hot wire to tap into and not have to go to the fuse block.
4. Supplier/Manufacturer said that a knowledgeable tech will need one hour to install. Senior Honda Certified Electrical tech took 4+ hours for a perfect first time installation.
5. Labor Cost: Dealer gave me discount but it still cost $200.00 +kit price.
END RESULT (for those willing/able to part with some cash) - BEAUTIFUL & COOL!!
Opinion: Not worth most of us owner to install ourselves. Sanity is priceless!
