Rock Hit Windshield - Help & Conclusions
Rock Hit Windshield - Help & Conclusions
In the three months I have had the car, I conclude that the aeordynamics of the front of the vehible is prone to rocks hitting upper of the hood and also the windshield (lower areas). While I had the invisible Formula One film installed by Steve's Tint in Upland, CA on the full bumper, side mirrors, and the HID assemblies protected, I did not do the side front fenders nor the hood. It would have only been another $100, so that was not the issue. I felt I have not had fender or even hood damage by rocks with my previous automobiles. In three months I have two small dings on the hood edge by the windshield wipers and now the windshield was hit by one of the wipers and it spread one-third up the windshield. I will have the windshield replaced with OEM gasket and windshield in a shop where they keep it over nite to cure prior to hitting the road; (best way for fine work).
Question: I did multiple searches and checked with WeatherTech and Aeroshade and they do not make a "Stone & Bug Deflector" for the TL. Is there any firm that makes a smoked, tinted colored lexan material deflector?
Thank You for any referrals.
