Just wondering if it's just my car rattles everywhere especially the instrument pannel area and dirver side door window, under the passinger side seats. 50mph-55mph on 5th gear makes viberation. (I know other thread already discussed about this issue)

I understand about the hard suspension, harsh ride, but can't take it when it rattles and make noise. Xtremly anyoing.


help me out if someone had this problem and solved it. Thanks

 

Harsh ride??? Thats not right...I don't think this car should have what could be termed a "harsh ride". The suspension is a bit hard, but I find it pretty forgiving. Am I insane???

 

The glove box rubs against the center stack on many TLs, causing a rattle. There is a fix involving felt tape that the dealers can apply, but it involves taking the glove box out and replacing a bunch of one-time-use clips that hold it in place, so they have to have the clips in order to fix the rattle.

My dealer has the clips on order for mine. That's the only rattle I have; my car apparently doesn't have the visor or rear deck rattle.

I Noticed harsh riide on 6mt , but that car has thicker sway bars, which can cause harsher ride than 5at. Rattles shoud not appen in new car, many tls do , but it seems most do not. loks like poor qc / assembly . take it to dealer BTW check tire
pressure maybe dealer did not lower from transport pressure of around 50 lbs. that could cause harsh ride and more rattles noticed,

 

I don't have a harsh ride. You have to understand that my comparison is to my modded 2002 TL-P, with Comptech springs, which was harsh in comparison to the 2004 TL. I had minor rattles earlier in my ownership but they all went away on their own.
