Question Happy Or Not?!

With all the problems I hear circulating the TL, I wonder about my purchase of the car I find so attractive. What is the overall consensus of the TL? Is everyone happy with their purchase, or if you knew what you know now, would you go with a different car?

Had MANY cars in the past - and despite some minor hiccups, the TL is by far the best, and most well rounded. Been 4 months, and no regrets!!! Best car for the money (my opinion).

Be sure to research all cars in this class prior ro making the purchase - as they all have pros and cons, it's really driven by what you're looking for, and your personal preference.

haha some of the griping going on around here may seem like everybody is piping mad about our purchases, but for the most part we are very finicky and picky buyers - we have high standards and expect our cars to live up to them. So while we're complaining about fading dashboards, rattles, butt prints in the seat, is the navi worthwhile or not, and/or finicky bluetooth systems, you've got german car owners worried their electronics are going to fry at any point, lexus owners who paid quite a bit more for THEIR options, american owners trying to keep up with the latest recalls, etc. I exagerate, but you get my point. The last major 'real' issue in the TL was the transmission problem that seems to have been resolved a year ago.

I'm extremely happy with my car! After all of my mods are completed, I'll be even more extremely happy! The first manual transmission car I had owned, which was bought used, I had it for 10 years until it finally died on me. So, this car is already a keeper.

...and "Infiniti" Edit...fixed poll

I was planning on keeping this car only 40k miles, then moving up. At 40k I decided that the cars I was interested in offered not that much more, for a lot more than my TL. So I decided to keep it and mod it. I figure I can get another 50-60 k miles out of my car on mods before I get tired of it. Or maybe not?

Record Sales of RL, TL and TSX Make 2005 Best Year in Acura History

-- The TL performance luxury sedan was Acura's top-selling model and
recorded its second straight year of record sales with year-end results
tallying 78,218 units.

There are 70,300 members registered here, I am not sure just how many own 3rd generation TLs but I am guessing a relatively small percentage.

The members here are vocal and passionate about their TLs. I sometimes wonder exactly how many of the people here who constantly complain and berate the TL actually own one, and if they do dislike their TL so much why, then, do they STILL own one!??
Sure there will be inherent problems with ANY car. Would I, myself want another car, of same value, no. Would I want an M5, M45, AMG, or 911, sure .

Usually when people are happy with their car, you dont see them posting about it. Only when there is a problem. Just like having girl problems.. you want someone to talk to and give you advice.

I hated my 04 TL due to faded dash, and more squeaks and rattles than a haunted house on halloween. BUT I can't find anything better so I got an 06 navi TL and will give this a try, so far 2 months and 2k it seems okay, less noises, but then it is still new. Seems to ride much nicer on the Michelins and actually getting slightly better MPG than my 04, I average 22-23 around town, didn't get that until almost 20k on the 04. Car seems smoother, not sure ifi it is all the tires or if they tweaked the suspension.

And you have every reason in the world to worry. Spending close to $40K on anything I would be extremely picky! I've been following the TL since I saw it in '04 and I love the style of the car. I've test driven it and it was to my liking. I've had my eye on the other cars listed and was just playing with some ideas of what I would want out of my car and what I want to do with them, so that's why I wanted to know what everyone thought about their TL before I made a decision either way. ( too bad no SH-AWD yet... )Thanks for the feedback, it really helps!

BTW, sorry for the poll errors, I was in a hurry. Thnx for the fix. :-p
