Question Hands Free Link

Bought a Bluetooth compatable phone and went to install- the Hands Free link talk button on steering wheel doesn't beep or take any command. Anyone else run into this problem?

Have you gone through "setup" and "pairing"?

I hope you are keeping the ignition to ON position and not pressing the Nav voice command switch.

Have tried ignition in all positions. I get the regular beep from the navi button, but nothing from the HFL button

try this

Using the two buttons on dash directly beneath the MID, scroll the menu screen until it reads Handfreelink. Press select button to enter and set up your blue tooth phone. there are pairing instructions in your driver setup guide that you should have received with your new acura, or you can go online to get pairing instructions off of Acura.com

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I've already made an appointment to take it in. Never thought I'd be going back to the dealer after 1700 miles.

Just went to the menu for HFL on dash and selected . On display it reads "Handsfree Link Booting up" It's been that way now for 5 min. or so.

I had that problem once and I turned the ignition off, removed the keys, shut down the phone and after 5 mins, turned the ignition back on and the phone back on and everything was fine...

Nowhere in any instructions in the manual or the internet I've found does it mention having to boot-up the HFL

I had the same problem. The dealer had to replace the HFL module. When you take it in have them call the Acura Tech line if they don't know what to do.

I had to wait a week for the part to come in.
