Had EL-42's replaced
my car now vibrates above 75MPH like a freaking washing machine on the spin cycle...
I don't think it's the tires this time, but the alignment or balancing.
either way this sucks and has been a terrible waste of time.

I see no evidence of flat spotting, contrary to what others have said about the LS-Z, but then my El42's flat spotted mostly on colder (less than 40-45) mornings, but they never felt smooth after miles of driving. I am very pleased with Bridgestone and the way they handled this.

About three weeks ago, EL42's were replaced on my car and the result was that new tires (0804 date code) vibrated from about 45 on up. Took back to dealer, their new wheel balancer had not been calibrated properly. Rebalanced with very slight improvement, but continued to have vibration. Also have some minor flatspotting, but goes away in less than mile. Returned car to dealer today and the loaner I have is 04 TL, serial 36xxx and guess what, it exhibits same vibration as my TL, only sligthly worse. Date code on loaner tires is 0704.

Care to give me the name of the store if I ever need to swap!!
Moody: The tire store I'm trading the EL42's for the Yoko ES100 is owned by a friend of mine's. I'm not too sure he would be willing to take anyone's EL42 & give them 4 brand new ES100's in 255/40/17 for a total of $95. If you are interested, I'm sure he'd want to know how many miles you have on your tires. If interested, let me know & I'll run it by him

Need to clarify the statement I made in Post #43 above about the loaner vibration. Took wife out to dinner tonight and after about 5 minutes, vibration cleard up and car drove very smooth at all speeds. When I left the dealership earlier in day, bad vibrations all the way home-about 20 minutes.
My TL with a VIN# 36XXX has the EL42's with a date code of 0904 and on the couple of chilly days here in Michigan, flatspotting still occured, however the vibration did go away to, what I consider normal for the car, after about 5-10 minutes of driving. My major dislike for these tires, is the wet weather traction, I am getting wheel spin in 1st and 2nd getting off the line in damp/wet conditions.
