A lot of you guys need to lighten up and get out of this thread. He's asking a legit question. So what if he wants to go with a JDM look it's his car not yours...

You guys sound like we are driving a fucking mercedes benz or something... sorry to inform you guys but it's a honda. As for you lexus guys.. It's a fucking toyota..

Now that we have made this clear.. I would try Ebay for some Honda badges .

Yeah I knew they were bringing Acura to Japan.

I just thought it wasn't till sometime this year.

But the H emblem is still retarded.

It's the internet, just people expressing their opinion.

Believe me nobody is taking this seriously. I think everyone already knows it a Honda.

Seriously though don't listen to these guys do what you like to do with your car. Even though the 3G isn't technically built in Japan doesn't mean its not a Japanese based car.

Who the hell cares if it isnt built there or not. We might as well rip off the Acura symbols and put nothing on and call it a domestic car.
Thank you man i agree

Acura being 'brought' to Japan? That's retarded.
How could they bring something to somewhere that already exists in it's 'original' form. 0.o
That's so redundant..

Speaking of re-badged. Yesterday I'm pulling out of the parking lot and I saw Toyota Corolla with BMW badges in the front and back. I laughed so hard I almost crashed into a UPS truck in front of me.

as far as I know the TL doesn't exist in JaPaN!!! The TL is it's own platform...no cross relation between...civic...accord...or whatever...it may share some parts from the other vehicles in the honda line up...however the platform is all it's own...do not put any badge on your TL...you ever here the saying that less is more? this definitely applies to this situation!

Actually, you're wrong. The TL is based on the North American Accord platform. But the TL is not currently sold in Japan.

It's the OP's car, he can do what he wants to it. IMO, I think a Honda emblem on a TL looks silly...but that's me. We complain here that Acura is not seen as a Tier 1 luxury brand and here someone wants to stick a Honda emblem on it so someone sitting on a patio at Starbuck's thinks that he imported the car from overseas. Whatever....different strokes.

Although ya don't see Lexus owners sticking Toyota badges on their cars!

From my understanding...it is the TSX that is the accords relative...

They're not doing it anymore. Honda put a hold in migrating the Acura brand to Japan for the time being, this went along with putting the next NSX on hold because of Japans current economic problems.

I think there was an article about this on Temple of VTec a while back.

hahaha WOW you guys are grillinnnn this guy. Let him do what he wants, its his car and everyone else does what they want regardless of what other people think. I didnt see anyone giving acuratein any bad comments about having an 'H' on his car. For the reasons you guys have given in this thread, his case should be no different.

I agree with you guys, but let him do what he wants to HIS car. I dont think it would be too bad, I've seen much worse things done to a car than this. At least Honda makes Acura, I've seen M3 badges on cars that arent even german.

The European Accord's relative...yes. Note how I stated "North American" Accord for the TL.

The North American and Euro Accord versions are different.

Yes, you're absolutely right.

If you go to Honda European website, they'll state Accord Euro.

Accord Euro = JDM Accord.

Sometimes, I do not understand why keeping different design.

Same happened to Toyota, if you go to Toyota Taiwan, Toyota Thailand they have a Camry design that looks better than the US version.

That was designed by Toyota Australia, and in Australia, they offer a TRD (equivalent to Honda Type-R) of that Camry.

US Camry = JDM Camry

lol.. I don't think putting a Honda symbol on the TL is a bad idea. I've seen a few with the large 8G Accord emblem on the grill of the TL.. it looks okay but it doesn't match the lines.. looks off-placed. A better idea would be an AZine symbol..

You're taking heat for wanting to JDM the TL. Not for wanting to put Honda emblems on.

Besides it being rice, why would you want to replace the upscale A with an H from a lower scale division? I agree with everyone that said you should've bought an Accord instead.

I've never seen a Lexus with Toyota badges or Infinity with Nissan badges. It's a downgrade IMO.

Hey bro, chill...

I'm with you, I support your idea of having "H" Emblem on your TL.

After all, All Acura in Japan are with "H" same wtih Lexus sold in Japan, are actually with Toyota's "T" or crown.

I think a RED "H" and Type-R in the back would stand out.

BTW, how about upgrading to Mugen?

Maybe I would have more of an open mind if it weren't for all the riced out Civics with the red H and the mentality behind such a person. Most of those people lacked a 6th grade logic and comprehension level. Why not a red "A" emblem. That would be different, I've never seen one before.

Earliest next year, but i doubt it

Honda has announced it will delay the introduction of its premium Acura brand to Japan by at least two years. The company was originally intending to bring Acura to its home market in 2008, but is changing its plans to a 2010-11 release. No specific reason was cited, except for the vague "[the decision was] based on a comprehensive evaluation of the current market environment."

It was the Inspire until the 3rd gen. came out.

Adding a Mugen decal would be even worse considering Mugen make nothing for the 3G TL.
