I got a message that my shipment was shipping today? Probably due to the fact that I ordered multiple items; A-Spec body, TL-S tails/sides and 4 TPMS sensors all coming at once.....can't wait to get this project started Still hoping for a tracking # so I know what day to tell the boss that I'm "sick"... Maybe you have to have more than 300 posts on AZ to get one...lol

ANYWAYS, just a heads up, i got my packages all in today. everything's PERFECT. got the side markers in just fine, and i'm about to start on the tails. BUT, fyi all, the left side in particular's PRETTY DANG tough to force in. I ended up having to bend the little brace that holds the wire in on the side marker piece. Fit in just fine, and works perfectly. good luck all.

 

you are lucky. i talked with tim on aim yesterday about my order. my tails/sidemarkers just shipped yesterday (got a tracking email) and my aspec kit wont prolly ship for another few days cus he said 1 part of the kit is being delivered from another dealer or something. i can't take this waiting!

In the same boat ....tracking # received today, est. delivery on the 30th for a 35 lb. package...I'm guessing TL-S tails/sides + 4 TPMS sensors. I have no idea when the A-Spec body is gonna ship The anticipation is KILLIN' me!

My package is 10.2 lbs and they are TL-S tails/sides. Do the 4 sensors weigh 25 lbs? If not ...

 

Can't imagine they could? Maybe my A-Spec body is on the way....seems like it'd weigh more than 35 lbs. though. Regardless, I gotta wait for both to arrive to start the project....not taking the rear bumper cover off twice

 

I just made my order ...I can't wait to install them over the weekend ...well next weekend...Do you guys have a DIY for installing the rear side markers. I found a couple of DIY's but they are for the front markers...thanks in advance

 

dude the tails look SICK! i thought it wouldn't look too great - lots of people with nbp posted pictures, but they were debadged. personally, the badging and the comptech exhaust that i have...WOW FTW. I'll post asap!

 

i got my type s tails and sidemarkers today from tim. I noticed i was shipped 2 driver side sidemarkers.. I called tim right up and he sent me another one.. The tails look good.. took an 1hr to finish everything

Thanks man......appreciate the offer. It looks like a pretty straight install as long as there are no SNAFU's Far more concerned about getting the A-Spec body kit mounted proper....have been reading all the DIY's to prep for install.

That sounds like a product quality issue to me. Hopefully we all didn't get faulty tails. If anyone else did please post to this thread. I'm getting my stuff in on Monday so I will let you guys know how it goes. I don't want to open up a box with front sidemarkers OR improperly sealed tails.

Dude... I got 2 rights... Ill call Tim on Monday. Too bad I didnt notice until I tried to put them in.

 

Pre-sealed? Like not having that huge hole in the back of them... No they are not sealed.

Besides the light assembly you need to make sure that you transplant the foam o-ring (around the light assembly). It sucked to screw in those 4 screws, I had to use my trusty drill and a drop of WD-40 on the screws to make sure it was tight.. (dont strip yours, that would be bad... Use the clutch on your drill.)

But I think your problem is you didnt transplant the big foam piece that goes around the bulb connectors.. There IS a hole in that.

Have fun ripping the whole freaking thing apart... I really really hope mine doesn't go bad...

i thought i was going crazy when the passenger side marker didn't fit right.

 

Not installing the foam pieces does sound like a reason for water to potentially get inside the tails.

 

But looking at the tails, Im starting to think that there is something else that wrong with Ericks setup.. Post a picture..

I would venture to say that it is sealed between the outer glass and red reflector. But maybe not.
