I wouldn't say most...by a long shot. Depends on the cop. Some are chill, others are not. If it's a personal amount they could just make you give it up or they could bust you. It's still illegal nonetheless.

But I suppose it varies state by state, in California anything under an ounce is just a citation. Pay your fine and send you on your way! No criminal record, just like a traffic ticket.

One last story before the lockdown proceeds....
Leaving the lake many years back an my buddy suggests we hide our stuff in the air filter of his truck. I said no thanks cause I wanted to roll a little J halfway through the ride. I end up crossing a solid white line to skip a car that was blocking traffic trying to switch lanes and get pulled over(I had the first leg of the trip). I ate my bud with the quickness while my friend was laughing. Told the cop I had anxiety and kept chewing on the low low. He searched us afterwards but we came out clean.
Sure wish I had that sunroof spot?

Gay. If you're car is being searched, either by your own consent, reasonable suspicion, probable cause or incident to arrest, it'll be found. If it goes with the PC or the incident to arrest, lets just add another charge to your list of charges.
