Got it! WOW!
I can't believe I finally have it. I got to pick my car up in the snow so it's all dirty already.
I drove home on the Grand Central and didn't feel any vibration going over 50mph. I've been driving on stock (almost bald) Accord tires so the Turanzas were actually a step up for me. They got a good test on the icy road and passed as far as I'm concerned. For those of you familiar with the GCP, it's all twists and turns and my exit has a curve that's almost a 360 degree circle. Did it at 50mph and the tires hugged all the way.
I LOVE THIS CAR!
My outside temp. read 52 degrees and it's about 30. My salesperson said it was because the car had been inside all day staying warm and dry, and it takes a while to register the new temp. I'll keep an eye on it. Other than that, I haven't found anything wrong. I made sure to schedule my pick up time during daylight hours so I could give it a good once-over in natural light. I used everyone else's complaints as a mental checklist. The glove compartment closes easily.
I can't believe how effortlessly it handles. The power steering is as smooth as can be. The brakes are great, accelleration is fine and it doesn't look bad either!
I LOVE THIS CAR!
By the way I got excellent service at Rallye. They called yesterday to confirm my arrival time so everything could be ready. They handled the paperwork quickly and efficiently, had the car there for my test drive immediately, and had someone sit with me to go over the controls and NAV. He didn't rush me, answered my redundant questions patiently and gave me as much of his time as I needed. I didn't feel rushed at all.
Oh, and I should add one more thing - I LOVE THIS CAR!
Now I'm going back down to my garage to oogle it a little more!
Gotta add this to my sig: Anthracite/Ebony/5AT/NAV

I was going to get mine from Rallye as well; but I ended up going to Montclair Acura. (Closer to home)
The customer service at the Rallye dealerships is very good.
The Grand Cntrl Pwkwy can be a pain w/all those pot holes,
esp. near the hillside ave. exit
Damm I can’t wait to pick mine up this Saturday.

OK....now......
Congratulations Narnia, It's About F***in Time!!!!!!!
Sounds like you even got the new tires!
No longer do we have read your tales of woe.
A word of advice, KEEP him/her in the garage tonight, it's drinking day.
360 degree curve, hmmm...let's see...that must be the L.I.E, Union Tpke., the Clearview, the Kew Gardens Interchange, or Northern Blvd. Right? However, if it's really a 270, that could mean Francis Lewis.

So I never figured out why in the areas where it snows regularly you guys don't need to put chains or cables on your cars. When we head up to Tahoe, unless we have 4wd/awd and snow tires, we have to put chains or cables on our tires. Yet you guys drive just fine... what's up with that?

Yes DMZ, the saga finally ends. KG Interchange. If my Turanzas caused vibration how would I know driving in NYC?
Lore, I think the reason we don't need chains is that the roads are plowed fairly quickly, so we never drive in more than and inch or so of snow.
Forgot to mention Rallye even threw in wheel locks, free oil change, and a nice Polarfleece throw with embroidered Acura/Mercedes/Lexus/BMW logos. Also my salesperson took me on a tour of the service dept. and introduced me to the manager. Then when I got home I had a voicemail from her to follow up and say she hoped I enjoyed my drive home! None of these a big deal, but just some nice touches I thought.
I still can't believe this car is actually mine. I had to stop by my garage and sit in the driver's seat a few minutes before I left for work. I'm obsessed!

I think on mountain passes, like up near Vail in Colorado where our family vacations, I see signs when they allow chains on vehicles....this is probably because of the heavy snow and the inclines on those roads. Here in the midwest, we're completely flat, for the most part, and don't have a whole lot of hills to conquer.
Just my $.02....rambling, as always.

Extra congrats to you, I know you've been patiently (at times not so patiently?) enduring your own personal ordeal for quite some time while waiting for your car. I'm glad for you that it's not only finally worked out, but that you're so happy with it. Get used to smiling all the time while driving.
BTW - Several posters have been referring to you as "brotha"; should't it be "sista"?

narnia,
I knew you'd have a satisfied ride on Wed. Congratulations. Good to know things all work out well on your car. Enjoy.
It's bad to have a brand new car in snowy day. Let me know how you're gonna clean your car after this snow-like weekend.
BTW, DMZ, you're good, you make narnia nowhere to hide after pointing out those turns in GCP.

There was thread awhile back, I don't recall the subject, where you explained your name as that of a female character from a book you'd read. Enjoy your car.
