Got my TL!

Oh man this thing rules. I can't stop sitting in it and touching everything.

I came home today and called my dad up right away to see what time he wanted to go over to the dealership, and he told me 5:30. Hour and a half from the time I was home, so I waited patiently, and lo and behold he came home at like 4:30. I was so psyched so I grabbed up everything I wanted to bring (phone, DVD-A, etc) and there it was on the driveway. My parents pulled a fast one on me. Apparently the dealer had to go home at 4, so they had to pick it up in the afternoon. Then, so I didn't see it, they parked it in visitor parking so they can sneak it onto the driveway for when I was "going to the dealership."

All together this is one solid machine and I am loving it. Only one small annoyance, and thats that the Engine Malfunction light is on. Checked the manual and read it has something to do with emissions and it might reduce my MPG, and that it also could mean some asshat over at the dealership forgot to tighten the cap. Manual said it takes a few days for the light to go off if that was the case. So, if it is on this weekend, I will bring it over. I doubt it is a huge problem or someone has to die.

Anyway, I love it. I can't get enough of it, and I have to stop myself from typing about how much I love it so I can go play with it some more! Later!

Congrats Galeforce!

Too bad this had to be a sh*t weather day. You should have gotten it tomorrow when it'll be bright and sunny.

And if the great pigeon of happiness flew over and decided to 'bless' your car on delivery day, you'd consider that good luck too, right?

Gale -

Check to see if your gas cap is on tight. The manual states that you can get an engine manfunction indication if the cap isn't on tight ...

Cheers and welcome from the land of the lookers to the land of the drivers!

Ya, I checked the amnual and tightened the gas cap. Said I have to wait a few days. If the light isn't off by the weekend I am bringing the car in for a check-up. I don't know if its the malfunction or my driving that is giving the car a poor MPG... I have been spending a lot of my time in idle and a lot of time driving around my neighborhod

It takes a few weeks before you get good MPGs...the engine is still in the "break in" stage

...and yeah, sitting in idle, or just driving around your neighborhood doesn't help.

Don't worry...we all do it when we get a new car I STILL do that
