I did this because my dad got me an amazing deal. I wanted a CLS 500 but even after a rediculous price reduction (~12k) it was STILL too much

P.S. I will be putting up my BRAND NEW NEVER OPENED 19s up for sale. So look out in the black market section! Also my ipod integration (USASPEC).

I just got the appearance package. Comes with navi, underbody spoilers, "black" wood/silver trim, full leather interior, HID lamps, air ride (ride heigh adjustment), suspension dampening adjustment and some other worthless garbage.

Color combo was white with stone (tan) interior. I wanded ash (black) interior but they didnt have any in that combo with the extras I wanted. Price is kinda secret. Sticker was about 57,500. I was a little backwards on my TL so the payment is MINIMALLY higher than the TL. If I had not been backward on the TL it would have been the same or maybe slightly less!

Did your dad get an employee/supplier deal? I can get that pricing on Mercedes, too, but the only one I really have the hots for (like you, apparently) is the CLS. What a killer car! But what a killer price, too!

Yeah the payment for the CLS was almost 900 a month and thats about ~400 less than what most people pay for a lease.

Nice ride not for me though. What's the more practical part? At least you have a hook-up for parts and repairs, this makes sense for you, enjoy.

so how much did the E come out to? And just out of curiosity did you consider an RL? I'm sure you could have got a new RL for either the same price or even less, seeing as to how dealers are pratically giving them away to get rid of them. But, yeah, nice specially with the appearance package...

The more practical part should have been red text. The sticker on this car was $25k more than my last car

Don't really know if I can/should disclose the final price. Just know that I got a DEEP discount. I would have LOVED an RL accept I could only get a minimal discount on that thing.

Nice car!

Not sure what harm can come from disclosing the price, though . If it was bought through an employee pricing program, all you'd be doing is giving away what % employees get. That's pretty useless info to the rest of the world as they will be hard pressed to negotiate anything close to it. It's more of a curiosity thing...that and it shows how much people who purchase the car out right get jacked, which is an amusing thing .

Why not... it's not like any of us are car salesman and will take that number and call around....

A Benz is always pimp. Nice car and I assume you're getting the 2007 model or least brand new?

I've had almost all flavors of MB's and have an SL500 now. The E class 6's always ends up being one of my favorites. It's not nose heavy and I think the car was truly designed for the 6 not the 8. The E class just always wears well with me.

Neuronbob I really like your 2 year TL review you linked to. I think it is a fair review. My TL has about 22K on it and does some things that annoy but overall has been a very solid car. I'd be surprised if the Magnum you mention would wear well with you although I find myself looking at them too.

Yeah, I am liking it more. I am missing my bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition system ... meh. Maybe I'll trade for a new TL. Probably not though, I have my eye set on the CLS550 .

Nice...I think my next car should be in a white color...I was at the MB event in LI last year. The only thing I didn't like about the car were the brakes. Any feedback vs the TL ??

The TL was sportier, alot more road feel. This handles ALOT better. Seeing as how its rwd and I have dampening control I can also raise the car up if I want bc it has "air ride" or whatever you call it.

Why is it, that with your response, it doesnt exactly seem you are fully satisfied with your new purchase?

Congarts enjoy the car but I actually think that the TL look hotter than the CLS it look like a car for some one that is 30+ (old folks car) in my opinion.

WTF? I say you are screwed. Why compromise on something you are not really enjoying?
TL=28k or so, E klasse 25k more than TL= current car $53,000.00(and its not even the one you want)..

Congrats on the deal, but IMO, 50k, 30k, 10k, or any amount of money is not worth on something I dont really want.

Nice....

My dad has a black/black E500 4-Matic and that thing is a beast! MB Definitely knows how to put power to the ground better than any other car company I know. They are sweet cars, but when warranty runs out, be prepared to spend a small fortune on repairs.
