This forum has given me a lot of helpful information and has been a great place to come talk about problems or other various things about our acuras. I basically got bored with the auto trans and needed something a little more fun. My TL was at 286,000 miles when I sold her last week and I replaced it with a Grand Prix White 2000 Honda s2000! The car is a blast!!!! Absolutely amazing but impractical. This is goodbye for now until I buy my 6mt UA7!

I sold it for $7000 cash.

It may seem like a lot but the car literally had everything done to it. Fresh oem brakes, koni yellows and h&r sports, new tires, plugs, all fluids, its an awesome car. I'll be buying a ua7 hopefully before winter!

The s2000 is close to stock with the exception of the k&n intake, tien lowering springs and ap2 v2 wheels.

Nice! That car is UNBELIEVABLE fun!

I used to race mt STi in the same class at SCCA in Colorado (Modified B) as a few of those. A few rides and a quick drive later, I was in love. They are awesome with the tiniest amount of work, and that powerplant is beautiful!

 

Congrats on the purchase. Like I said yesterday I love black and red interiors!!! Looks great. Text me when its time to start hunting for a 6mt Type S. I'll give you a hand as thats my specialty ;-)

Dang, nice buy and rare color combo. I like s2ks and now they are crazy cheap. I was thinking about picking one up and putting a hard top on it with a RB26dett swap... Still might have to do that.

Congrats! I seriously considered an AP2 just a few weeks after getting my TL. Those cars are a blast to drive.

The rare "all red interior" is the one that includes the dashboard and door panels

Thanks everyone! I do know the person I sold my TL to so as it hits 300k I'm sure I'll be able to get an update. Who knows, I think he may already be a member.

I am definantly going to get another TL sometime though.

Don't anybody shoot me, but back in High School for my junior year I believe my dad almost got me an S2000. I sat in it at the dealer, didn't like how it felt (thinking I needed more room, so wrong) and ended up with a macked out '02 F-150 instead. I want to go back, strap myself to a chair, and beat my junior year self with a tire iron. Oh what could've been. Congrats OP. Never would guess by looking at it that that car had 286k on it.

Thanks everyone!! I don't really regret the choice yet although I do miss the TL. I love the change to RWD. This is my first rwd vehicle and its lots of fun. I'm hoping to find a nice UA7 before winter or I may even consider the 4G SH-AWD.

And yes, my s2000 has ap2 door panels. I guess the previous owner put them in for the tweeters. I must say, the stereo in the s2000 SUCKS!!!

 

Time to upgrade the stock system?

listening music experience.
