Anyone know of reputable tinters near Sacramento/Roseville area that have experience tinting TLs (moleskin, scratching issues, rear quarters etc I read all the issues) ?
I want to tint my TL, but reduce the chance of having tinting related issues as I read on the forum here.

Formula One/Rocky Mountain was the place recommended to me by the Internet Sales guy I dealt with at Neillo Acura. It's the place he used for his wife's TL and said they did a great job and they have no probs with the tint work on their TL. However, when I asked him about "tint scratching" issues with the TL specifically he sort of gave me a blank "no comment" look, so either he had never heard of the issue or he knows and didn't want to say anything.....I don't know which it was.
Another comment he made about that tint shop is that they will guarantee their work. I was just interested to see if any other member here had some recommendations.

 

I used Rocky Mountain several years ago with my Mazda and it looked great. I was considering using them again for my new TL. Have any of you guys had yours done yet?

 

Hey guys, my windows were tinted by Rocky Mountain. F1 Pinnacle 35%, very clean and really didn't take them that long. They're the only authorized Pinnacle installers in the Sac area. Only other one I can think of is in Stockton. They are aware of the scratching problem and know about moleskin although I don't know what they charge for that. The owner's name is Dave Kurokawa.

 

How did it turn out? Do you have photos? Were they able to handle the rear quarter panels okay?

Turned out really good and the quarters were no problem - edge to edge. Sorry, no pix!

 

try sac town audio on stockton blvd. I think most of the kings players get there cars done there

 

They get their tint done there or at Eclipse on Auburn Blvd. I've had good luck at Genesis Autoworks in Elk Grove, got my 05 TL done there w/ Llumar tint 35% all around. I need to take picz. I'll call the SacTown audio guy, i think the owner is a friend of a friend, maybe get a group discount.
