Good replacement for original TL battery

My TL battery died after 3 years so I searched for a good replacement. The oem battery doesn't have any water caps (the battery is sealed). The battery tie down in the TL is unusual because it runs diagonally across the battery. Because of this unusual tie down, the car seems to need a sealed battery. I started checking on many of the usual sources for batteries - Sears, Duralast, ACDelco, Interstate, etc. All of these batteries had water caps, so they really wouldn't work well. One battery - the Optima - seemed to have a flat top, but it was over twice as expensive as the other batteries.

After much searching I finally found a battery that would work well - it was the NAPA 7524F. In addition to fitting properly, NAPA batteries were highly rated by Consumers Reports, and the battery was the least expensive of all the other batteries I had looked at.

So if you need a replacement battery have a look at NAPA batteries.

interstate are good batteries ive had them in past cars but when u go performance for music u need load control and optimas got it... especially if u add an isolator ( big relay that controls the flow of power usually stores 200-300amps.)

nope isolator, caps drain power out to stay alive when they arent in use. they have "CAP Batteries" those are mini batteries that are comprised of 200 farads and they dont drain or discharge. they stay charged
caps are made to drain n recharge so when ur alternator is off and not working it discharges to a not so good point and sometimes depends on the power of ur battery to stay alive and drains out the battery. (SOMETIMES). Now if u use an isolator it turns the caps on n off and stores the power in its coil so the caps or extra battery can take only what it needs at a slower rate without harming ur alternator.

Oh I C. I forgot about those. They would come in handy for sure.
