Good price?

I am looking at an 07 Type S with 63k miles for $17k or an 07 type s with 131k miles for $11k. Both in good shape. Would you say the fewer miles are worth an additional $6k? Thanks for your help.

Yeah I would personally. Go with the lower mileage one.

Both have been maintained well. Mobil-1 oil changes, etc.

Higher mileage has car has recently replaced blue tooth module, new battery, new tires and timing belt service.

as far as we are concerned, they are BOTH equal right now.
it will be your job to further inspect each one.

is the lower mile-aged one worth the extra 6 grand? you'll have to look and inspect the interior, exterior, the whole car with a fine toothed comb.
only then will you be answer your question of is it worth 6 grand more.

if both have been treated the same, and you cannot physically tell the difference, ie: no defects or anything worn, get the lower priced one.
remember, there is a 105k service, and if the higher mileaged one hasnt been serviced with the 105k, you'll have to spend at least up to a grand to service it at a dealer. it can be serviced for cheaper if Done yourself.

Get the one with 130k on it. If it has been taken care of just like the lower mileage one, but has already had the 105k repair done, get the cheaper one.

Maint is one thing, but repairs are another. Inspect the CARFAX first after personally inspecting them. You need to look at the paint and make sure there have been no accidents. Repair history if available, interior and entire car really. Have them both looked at as far as rear main seal leaking, axles being worn(vibration on accell), oil pump leaking, power steering pump leaking, steering gear leaking, control arm compliance bushing broken, motor/trans mounts broken, etc. I have done all this on my 07 and it cost about $8k at the dealer(theres more than that too in repairs, those are the big things). You need to have someone look it over that knows these cars. Are they at a dealer, one owners, warranty available from a dealer...? Theres a lot of factors to contribute to the final equation. I would initially personally inspect them visually and see what you think. Go drive them, see if the car pulls, clunks, drives funny. I drove about 15 TL's before I bough one. All were seriously abused but they were all 04-06. Thats why I bought an 07

Definitely all depends on the maintanance. It's pointless if the lower mileage car has been treated like crap and the high mileage car well maintained . You can easily put an easy extra 100k on that 131k with VTEC lol. If both cars are in great shape and well maintained then i'm more of a mileage guy. I hope you make the right choice at the end of it.

Provided te timing belt was done on the 130k mile one then I would go for that. If no timing belt then go for the lower milage one.

Im kind of surprised that all things being equal it seems like everyone is recommending to get the 131,000 high mileage Type S. The guy didnt say anything about being financially strapped or having only soo much to spend on a car, so why would everyone recommend getting the high mileage car? I guess I just dont get it. Now if the guy clearly stated he only has like $12K to spend on a car then ofcourse get the $11K Type S, but otherwise we dont know his budget or financial situation so I can only recommend to get the lower mileage car ALL DAY LONG!

^ ( with everything else being equal) do you think having half the amount of mileage warrants paying an extra 6k for a 7 year old car? Guess you do.

I don't.
