Good Deal for 3G TL?
Good Deal for 3G TL?
Okay, so I'm new to this forum website. Okay, Acurazine Members! I'm in the market to find an 3G Acura TL. I found an 05' Acura TL w/Nav and 5spd. AUTO. that has 80xxx miles on it. Buying from a private seller. Asking $13,400. Clean title. White w/tan leather(if that helps)? No dents just very tiny, minor chips in front. 1 owner with all documents of dealer services. Are there any major problems I should worry about for this model year? Or anything I will need to do on the car soon, if i buy it?
I have been waiting to get one for the past 6yrs. Upgrading from a 1991 Acura integra LS coupe. great car but need something newer since I commute on occasionally to visit my family need safety(priority)from SD to Ventura County (If that tells you anything on how I far I travel). I rarely drive In San Diego mainly stay on campus.
P.S. I have relatives with a lot of experience in working on newer cars and older ones who own their mechanic shops, so maintenance is no biggy.

if your interested... my 06 RRP TL will be for sale soon. it has 50XXX miles with the extended acuracare warranty... im asking for more than $13k tho.. im sorry i cant PM or email you for some reason
First of all welcome
I think the price is pretty fair. Keep in mind that the car averaged 16k miles a year, a little more than average.
Coming from experience I would make sure there are no rattles inside while you are driving and also see how smooth the transmission shifts. Unfortunately the Honda automatic transmissions from 2001 forward have a pretty bad reputation. No it's not guaranteed that yours will go out, but some preventative maintenance wouldn't hurt.
Keep in mind that at 105k miles there is a large and pricey service that needs to be completed. Timing belt, water pump, and some other stuff needs to be changed.
Good luck
