Good deal on a 2005

Looking at a 2005 TL with Navi and 21K miles for 26,995. Went to visit the dealer over the weekend and they would not budge on the price. Clean carfax with a few minor nicks in the paint on the front and hood. (some sand by the fuse box as well-curious) I walked out when they would not budge on the price, but after continuous searching, it seems that this might be the best deal on a 2005. The Navi is not important to me as my company will pay for one, but I don't want it to be a deal breaker either.

Is this a good deal? Any other experiences/prices similar to this?

Thanks for your time.

Get he navi TL... People here don't get it since they think they don't need it, but later on when they see the expansion that can come out of it, they bang their head into a wall wishing they got the factory one instead of a portable one. I would have them throw in a trunk tray or some accessories for the same price if you could get it.

Man reading your post gave me some deja vu... My dad just bought me an SSM '05 TL with navigation and about 21,500 miles on it from carmax this past week. The price was $27,500-ish. The car has some scratches and the leather on the driver side door is a little banged up but other than that, the car is in great condition (I of course am going to have carmax buff all of the scratches out). Anyways, based on my experience, the price seems reasonable.

I was shopping for used '05 myself before I bought the new Type-S. That price is a decent price.

For what it's worth. I got an '06 demo model non-navi TL for $28,000 with 5,000 mile on the odometer. With the mileage on the car and the condition of the paint (speaking of paint, has anyone else noticed how horrible the orange peel on these cars?) I'd make a final offer of $26,000 to them. If they don't budge tell them you want the a-spec body kit put on. Also, bring up the orange peel issue and tell them how you're not happy with the way the clearcoat isn't level. I notice in mine the surface of the clear coat resembles that of an orange peel (hence the name orange peel) resulting in a blurred reflection.

Sounds like a good deal. I purchased my '05 NBP TL w/ Navi w/ 36,000 miles for $25,000 about 4 months ago with minor scratches on the front bumper.

Will yours come with an extended warranty?

Hey, I just purchased my first Acura this weekend.

Here is the deal I worked out:
$27,000 - Certified Used 2005 Acura TL w/ Navi
- 4xNew Tires, New Brake Pads and Rotors
- 4 wheel alignment
- Clean Carfax
- All maintenance records since purchase (maintained at the same dealer where I purchased it)
- No scratches, dents or interior defects

I would say that what they offered you is a good deal. However, if it isn't certified used, I'm almost positive you could find a similar deal but with the certified used program, unless the extended warranty of the certified used program isn't something you're looking for... just my $0.02.

Thanks for your responses. It is certified with the windows already tinted and a trunk tray. The leather looks to be in good condition (black so it is a little harder to tell) and I am pretty sure that the minor nicks could be taken care of. I have gone back to them and asked if they can move on that price at all. If they budge even a little (say $500) I think I would go for it. Clean carfax with only 1 owner. BTW, how long are the tires good for?
