Glove Box Light

Tonight, I noticed that the glove box light in my '04TL stays on all the time the parks or headlights are on...even when closed. Has anyone else notice this. You have to look closely through the crack while it is closed. Maybe it's supposed to be that way but maybe it not. Anyone else?

The same thing happens with the center console light, no switch makes for a more economical design.

Check for a actuator switch on the glovebox, if there is a switch (other than for the trunk) it should turn off, but if none, then the light would stay on.

This just helps to keep the price down.

It's also more reliable - eliminate the switch, eliminate a point of failure.

I checked for an activator switch and couldn't find one. I hadn't noticed the console light. I'll check that tomorrow. Thanks.
