Getting ready to buy a type s
As the title states I've been looking at buying a black 07 or 08 Type S. I've think I've finally got our '03 Explorer sold and found one with 30k miles for $26,800. I think this is about the average price that they are going for. I've been researching them on autotrader and ebay so I've seen a few for sale like this, it just depends on how far I'm willing to drive one home. The one above is local so that's a plus. I also actually work at the plant that built them so I'll be able to look when we built it.
And yes this is my first post.

Type-S is a BEAST..... good luck on the purchase..... what color are you looking for?.... you should look around for what color you want.... they all look great... but make sure you pick the one you really want.... no regrets.....

Mama sez she wants a black one. I tried to talk her into the charcoal or the kinetic blue but to no avail. I would get the blue one if it was up to me but its going to be her d.d. i just love love blue with the dark wheels and red emblems. Oh well when she's happy Im happy. We drove an 08 charcoal with the paddle shifters and 27k mile and the dealer still wanted 32k. The original sticker was in the glove box with 38k msrp. I told them we'd go elsewhere. I basically just wanted to drive one. We were definatley impressed plus I can have it serviced at the plant.

2008 Acura TL Type-S
Can't go wrong with the Type S. NBP is sexy as hell on this car, but I'm with you the KBP is even better. Just be prepared to become intimately familiar with all kinds of detailing products to keep it looking sharp.
Good Luck on your search!

well just FYI i got mine in st louis missouri (car prices a lil on the higher side) 07 Type-S WDP w/ dealer A-spec and dealer window tint, great condition 40k miles for 25k with 100k mile/10 yr extended warranty
26.8k for a type s with 30k as a starting price is pretty low, i personaly would think it is a great deal if you can get it to like 26k

I just got my 07 TL-S, CBP, 2 weeks ago. 50K miles, 5AT, certified w/ extended warranty for $27K. First thing I would do is go through the menu and look for any stored codes in it. Acura is coming out with a new TSB for the 07/08 TL-S about the "tighten cap light." Make sure its within warranty just in case this turns on. Do a search and check out some threads on this. Besides that....I LOVE MY CAR!!! The rear cam, "voice" commands that control the climate control, bluetooth, navigation, radio, etc.....trust me, you all with LOVE it. I had an 06 TL Base Loaner w/ Nav and it just wasnt the same. Good Luck on your purchase!!

Try showing her the benefits of the Type S, just be sure to get a TL with Nav, if you get a base TL.

Thanks for the replys. Definatelty NBP and would prefer the lite grey seats but the black and bronze is ok since it seems that most I come across have the two tone. The type S is pretty loaded so I know there weren't many options, if any (other than dealer installed) I think they (type S) all come with navi and a back up camera? "A spec" would be nice but I think I prefer the "black/charcoal" rims.
Were than any differences between the '07 and '08 models?
Also if I can get a pic, at winter, we (Honda o.a. Manufacturing) have an "Ice Conditions Sign" with a Type S wheel and tire as its base that someone wheels out on the sidewalk. Its laughable but a good use of a blemished wheel, I guess! You guys would be amazed what we throw away!

Also, how do I go through the menu to look for any stored codes? (someone stated above) Is it eazy or is there a "dealer" trick to getting them. Like hop on one foot, hold these two buttons together at the same time for three seconds and run 3X around the car backwards. HAHA!

Click on INFO, then Messages. It will show anything in that area.
I just picked up mine a month ago with 31k miles, for only 27,995 CPO'd from the dealer. It was in mint condition as well (looked and smelled new).
