Getting a new paint job, any suggetions on color?

Im getting a good deal on a paint job and right now my car has currently multilpe scratches and dings. I plan on painting my whole car, but im not sure if i should keep is SSM or chose a differ silver? what are your guys thoughts? keep it the same color or a different shade of silver. I dont plan on painting the door jam so what are some suggetions that will still match to the ssm door jams? I was thinking the mercury metallic from lexus.

depends, do you like the color of your car right now? if not then you should look around the forum and see which color you like best so you wont regret it.

I would personally paint MY car either WDP, MRP, or KBP.

but thats just me.

Changing the color of your car will severely reduce the resale value.

I'd say keep it SSM. It's the 3rd best color for the TL in my opinion, right behind WDP and NBP

Vtec, I like the silver-it's very corporate looking. Besides, when you see commercials with cars in them, they're always silver. When the ACURA website only had 3G's, they were also silver.

We also have a Silver TL Social Group-which no other color TL has this !!!! (I think....) So if you keep the color, you can join the group at:

Since you're not painting the door jambs, engine bay, etc... Keep it the same color.

would be a lot cheaper to keep it the same color. I was going to paint mine NBP but decided it wasn't really worth the hassle.

No, the Type-S was always shown in KBP.

To the OP do not change the color. The value of the car will go to shit.

+1. It's not worth it to paint the outside, and then open the door, pop the trunk, or hood, and find a different color.

IF you aren't painting everything like the above, you should keep the same color.... Resale value will be hurt when you try to explain it to the sellers.

Unless you can try to make something out of the 2 tone.

I have WDP but I always luved the KBP from the TL-S....

I'd keep it the same color myself. Now I plan on getting my 87 Legend painted. Shoot, that car is 22 years old. I don't care if the paint don't match under the hood, trunk or door jams. The clearcoat is peeling and it just needs some fresh new paint. Not sure what color I'm going with yet. It's also a shade of silver. I may go WDP with Black hood trim. But since your car is so new, don't change the color.

Matador Red Mica looks REALLY sexy. I'd get that for an OEM paint if I had the chance again.
