Gauging interest: Real CF Pillars for 3rd Gen TL
Would anyone be interesting in cf pillars for the 3rd gen TL? I've seen it done on the M35 and it looks amazing. Wanted to know how many people would actually buy this if it were available. Est price would be about $200, which seems to be pretty standard. Tell me what you think and if you would be interested. Thanks.

good lord, check out the horrid interior trim kit in that pic!
those "TL" "TL" decals are just idiotic. i like the plain CF cTLgo posted, if anything... but then again, im not a big fan of using CF for aesthetics .

I'd get it if it were just straight cf without that TL on both of them. $200 is too overpriced if they're just stick-ons like most of the ones on the market (and the ones on that M35). Maybe $200 for full replacement part. Just an example, the ones for my 350Z from Varis only cost $70usd.

Pretty good price for Varis cf pillars, I usually see them go for $130ish... don't forget, 350Z pullars are smaller and there is only 1 on each side, as suppose to 2 on each side of the TL

The M45 weighs over 4000 lbs, its the heaviest car in class. Why the hell would ANYONE put fake carbon fiber or even real carbon fiber stickers on such a heavy car? I cannot believe that.
What is the deal with people and carbon fiber? Its to save weight and its stronger than metal. The Porsche Carerra GT uses 3 different carbon weaves. A hood, I can understand. Some damn stickers=RICE

Yup, and Acura really riced out the car with the faux cf trim on the interior panels too
But hey, to each his own... i personally like looking at carbon fiber on my pillar there instead of the black that's made of some weird material that gets hairline scratches so easily.

hmmm I don't know how it'd look on the TL, but I have Carbon Fiber B-Pillars for my IS300 and I think they look good.. They were also more affordable for me too, I got them for 50 for 4 pillar pieces..

CF is becoming overplayed. I personally don't know why people use it unless they are putting it on a racecar to save wait. It merely appears tacky and unappealing to me. The occasional sporty CF hood looks good but not under any circumstances on a 35K "luxury car."

There was no communication and no product received, so I emailed asking for shipping details. No response. I emailed again. No response. I ended up filing a claim with PayPal before they finally shipped.
Only 3 of the 4 pillars arrived. Though they may have shipped 4, they put the pillars loose in a long thin box, taped the middle of the top flap (not the ends), then flipped it over and affixed the shipping label on the bottom (which now becomes to top to the shipper). Between gravity and untaped ends (now on the bottom), I have no doubt that one slid out in shipment.
Of the 3 that arrived, 2 were marred on the visible surface. The edges were rough, it was apparently hand cut with a course jigsaw blade - worse than what a kid might do in his garage, definitely nothing any sane person would ever put on at $40K car. I emailed explaining the problem. No response. I emailed again, this time I was directed to their RMA (returned materials authorization) site. The site requires an order number, which I didn't have, and it wouldn't accept the eBay auction number. I emailed again asking for the order number so I could complete the RMA. No response. I emailed again and got a response with the order number. I return to the RMA site and complete the form. On completion, the site indicated that return instructions would be emailed to me - but they had a blank email address associated with the order number! I emailed again. No response. Again, and no response. By this time, the investigation with PayPal has been closed because I had received the product, and PayPal has no way to reopen an investigation, so it looks like I'm out the money.
I emailed one more time pleading for help, and this time I got a response directing me to their customer service department with a toll free number. I call, get an RMA number and ship the package back to them along with a history of what transpired, and explaining that one of the pillars was missing on receipt (so they wouldn't try to claim I returned something less that I received). They received the package on May 12.
Weeks later, still no credit. I call customer service a couple weeks back, give them the order number and they tell me I'll be credited that day. Of course, they didn't credit me. I called the following week, no answer on their customer service number. In the interim, their eBay account has been closed. I called again late last week, no answer.
Fast forward: Today, after having seen this post last night and their URL, it appears they're still in business and I verified the phone numbers match - so I give them a call again today. I was told I'd have a credit today but that they would not credit shipping (still better than being out the entire amount).
Good news - they actually did credit me today...finally after nearly a 3-month long nightmare of dealing with the incredibly inept. But...they did so as a payment instead of a refund, so I end up paying a PayPal transaction fee in addition to being out the shipping fees both ways!
