Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum, I have A TL 05 AT with about 23,000 miles. I just went to the store and noticed that my gas tank indicator reads empty and the yellow light is blinking. I thought maybe my wife used my car and decided to fill it up. I could only get 9 gallons in the tank. When I started the TL same problem, Tank reads empty and yellow light is blinking. Has anyone experienced this or know what the problem might be?

 

Welcome to the forums. Sorry your first post is to report a problem.

Something is not working right and you should take it to the dealer. The light should not blink even when the fuel is low, and the fact that you could only get 9 gallons in the tank means it was almost half full.

Check the MID and see what the range is. If you filled it up, it should be well over 300 miles, depending on your average miles per gallon, and this will tell you that the tank is full but the gage is malfunctioning. If it does not read correctly, that's another thing to tell the dealer.
