What loses they lost the ability to charge big bucks for oil and gas.
So where is the foreign aid... We have come to the rescue of about every county that has had problem. So where are the countries sending over some oil or gas... LOL

4.00 bucks by labor day. It is called legalized looting... And you will hear the government say well it has not impacted the economy we are still strong... and ole greenspan will say inflation is too high and then raise interest rates again. See what's going on...
if it hits 4 bucks that wil be a 100%increase since june.

well the biggest reason other countries arent sending shit for us is the fact that they hate us all. not bc we are white or black or mexican or indian, but bc we are "arrogant" (or however you spell it) and we are running out of gas bc retards are driving 30-70 miles away with those little red gas cans filling up with as much gas as possible. i went to the 4 local auto parts places and all of them were sold out of gas cans. and every gas station within 100 miles of my town is out of gas. and since places are running out, they are jacking prices up higher than they already are. instead of driving all that time wasting what you have so you can have alot more, why not just conserve what you have. and i bet all those soccer moms are shitting themselves for buying those big urban assault vehicles they call SUVs.

Atlanta Gouge continues
Driving home from work, ive seen prices for regular range from 2.69 - 3.79.
The Chevron near my home was 2.79 this morning, now its up a whole dollar to $3.79. The station across the street from Gougevron is 3.39. 40 cents cheaper. whooopie.

The only silver lining you can see out of all this mess is maybe...just maybe this will spur more research and effort into alternative fuels. It's going to take things like this to get people off their butts to do something about finding alternatives to oil. $5/gallon gas is something that most people would have said a few years ago was absolutely impossible. The general consensus was that the Americans wouldn't be interested in alternative fuels because gas was still one of those things that no one really thought about and no one was going on food stamps because of the cost. Now that gas will be hurting the wallets of most people, hopefully somebody will do something about it.

unfortunately you are right. It take a crisis for people to get their asses and finally do something. I knew this day was coming and it is finally here. In a way I am kind of relieved because I think this will prompt some action. Our governor, Sonny perdue has already halted the requirement for additives to fuel.
BTW $4.99/gallon for regular in South Atlanta. There is a huge difference between having to raise prices based on the market, and raising prices just to capitalize off of a crisis, the later is called price gouging and we are getting gouged big time.
What else would explain regular prices differing as much as $2.50? How can one station charge 2.49 for regular and another charge $4.99? It is truly out of hand.
That's awesome that gas is going up!!!! I'm finally going to have less traffic on the way to work! I thought todays drive was a dream. I can imagine when gas is 5.00 dollars a gallon(around here) no one will be on the freeway!!! I can't wait!
that is price gouging and is highly illegal and you should contact your local district Attorney's office and report the station or stations. You should see a 50 cent to 1.00 raise in price any more would be illegal.
(AP) - Eight Gulf of Mexico refineries remain shut and one is

_ Belle Chasse, La. - ConocoPhillips' Alliance refinery remains shut
while the company continues to assess damage to the 255,000 barrel a day
facility.
_ Convent, La. -- (Shell) Motiva Enterprises's 255,000 barrel a day facility
sustained minimal damage.
_ Norco, La. - Access to (Shell) Motiva Enterprises's 242,000 barrel a day

_ Chalmette, La. - Exxon Mobil has not been able to visit the 183,000
barrel a day refinery, which shut down on Sunday.
_ Meraux, La. - The 125,000 barrel a day facility by Murphy Oil Corp.

This is why gas prices are high and they will continue to rise as several of these refinery feeds the SE and NE parts of the US. Some of the refineries that are up and running are having to cutback due to pipelines from the gulf states to the East are down due to lost of power to pumping stations.

It was on the news. BP 5.99/gallon, I have personally seen regular selling for 3.99 a gallon, I have plenty of pictures to take. I'll post tommorow IF I go to work.
I just paid $3.02 a gallon for 93 octane at a Mobil; cheapest I could find. Of course last night it was $2.88, but we were under a tornado watch and I had had some beers, so I didn't feel like going out to buy gas. The odd thing was that at the el cheapo Crown station near the Mobil, they wanted $3.16 for 87 octane.
The Mobil claimed to be out of 87 and 89. Didn't affect me, but it turned out to be untrue--one guy tried pumping 87 and it worked fine until the clerk shut off the pump. (He admitted to doing so but wouldn't give a reason.) Made everyone feel that the station is trying to force people to pay the premium for super unleaded.
It does piss me off that they raised the prices like this given that they did not pay such higher prices to buy that gas in the first place, unless the theory is that this is how they make the money to buy the gas that is now being sold to them at higher prices.

well while I was waiting in line last night to get gas. there were two cars ahead of me, one was at the pump and one was next in line. Next thing you know two guys in a Lincoln NAVIGATOR decided to cut infront of the line and force there way to the pump. One day even got out of the truck and walked over to the pump forcing the lady who was waiting on change to leave the pump. As soon as the lady left the Navigator just backed their asses into the pump; cutting in front of all of us. That is how people get shot. What fuckin greedy inconsiderate assholes.
I should've gassed up yesterday morning. 93 was only 2.50-2.70 at my local stations. Or it was on my morning commute. By noon all the stations had gone up to 2.94-3.09 for regular, 3.14-3.29 for 93. OUCH! I'm only glad (and blessed) I can actually afford this, I don't know what people who can't afford even regular are gonna do...
That $6 picture is scary...I hope that's Photochopped....

I got hit hard, too, by the damn gas "crisis" we have here. The cheapest I could find was $3.09 for premium, but the lines were out the wazoo! I had gotten really lucky to find a station selling premium at $3.35 after seeing a bunch of stations running out of gas.

I waited in line for over an hour at a "cheap" gas station that was selling premium for 2.899 only to find out later that they only had regular left. I then left and went to a kroger and was lucky to get premium for $3.199. Many gas stations ran out or maybe just decided to stop selling. I saw other prices in this area as much as $4.199 for premium; the Shell station on the corner of Club and Pleasant Hill.
I wonder if anyone had reported that station for price gouging in Stockbridge that was selling gas at that rate. Seeing that just makes me want to smack the hell out of the owner for taking advantage of a bad situation.
I should have filled up yesturday morning, I told my wife to fill up her van and she did when it was still $2.69 for regular and no line at Kroger in Alpharetta on Jones Bridge.
Now I'm at 1/4 tank. I was thinking about going out last night at 11pm to avoid the lines but decided not to.
Well, luckily I work at home I guess I won't be driving much in the next few days with only 1/4 tank!

This is bullshit,
I went out to lunch yesterday, the Mobil station outside my company, there are 2 in basically 0.1 mile of each other,
Reg: 2.74
Med: 2.84
Pre: 2.94
Get off work
Reg: 2.89
Med: 2.99
Pre: 3.09
This morning I get to work
Reg: 3.29
Med: 3.39
Pre: 3.49
What's the number for the price gouging police? I can guarantee they did not receive a shipment of new gasoline overnight.
