I always liked the G35 but I cannot help but notice how old they look now. I was behind a 04-05 (?) G35 the other day and it looked really old, they age fast. The 3G TL (if kept clean) looks pretty "new".
Driving wise the G35 will be more fun obviously (RWD, but this will also make it suck in the snow). The gas milage for the TL isn't great either, I get 16-18 in the city but on the highway I get 30+.

IMO, the only advantage the G35 has over the TL is the better handling dynamics afforded by RWD. Other than that, the TL is better in every category.
IMO, 1st gen G35s are not aging nearly as gracefully as 3rd gen TLs, both on the interior and exterior. The exterior looks quite dated and the interior is awful. It's just a mass of shiny black plastic occasionally broken up by some plastic that looks like it was painted with silver krylon spray paint. The orange lighting looks like something that belongs on a '90s VCR too. (All just my opinion.)
Are you buying this as a commuter car? If so, I think you have to ask yourself if you will ever really get to take advantage of the RWD handling. If not, I think the TL is hands down the better car.

Ive owned a 06 tl and currently drive a 06 g35 coupe. the tl has more options standard and has a nicer interior but as a drivers car the RWD g35 is a no brainer.
